I just received a call from this number,which I did not recognize or answer,the call was before 9 A.M!!

I just got a call at 7:41 AM from this number but did not pick up

The call from this number came to my mobile phone at 8:43am EST...the caller ID showed Sparta, Ga..I did not bother to answer (at work) and I immediately Googled the number and found this thread. I have been receiving quite a few calls over the past week from numbers like this.

Called @ 8:45 AM.  A recording.  "Heather" was calling me about a credit card account of which I have none.

RCD call from 706-493-1011 @848am. Answered phone and caller h/u. Mostly likely telemarketers or political BS (we live in NH). Will block number via phone warrior ap.

Husband picked up phone and no one on the line.  Called at 8:43 AM

Received a call at 5:30 am. woke me out a much needed sleep (ill) .recording stating a credit card.  DO NOT HAVE

did not answer did not look familiar..  did not answer

Received two calls from 706-493-1011.  Also never leaves a message, and I no longer pick up calls that say "Unavailable"

Got a call from them at 8:36am. I declined the call. Calling first thing in the morning is awful. They're lucky it's Friday morning, and not Monday morning when my mood would be Mich less forgiving!

Call came in at 7:30am on my mobile phone.  Did not answer.  Called the number back from my landline and got the message "If you want to be put on the Do Not Call list press one".  I pressed one and got the message apologising for the inconvenience and to allow 48 hours for the number to be removed".

You received the call on your cell phone, then called them on your landline?  OK several problems with that.  First, if they do remove a number and it is very doubtful that will happen it will be your landline number and not your cell phone number.  Second, you just gave them your landline number so they will probably now call both numbers.  99.99999% of the time pressing a number to get removed ends up in your getting many more phone calls.  Download a free call blocking app for your cellphone and you may now have to purchase a call blocker for your home phone.

Number called at 8:37 am, they left no message.

We have a "war on drugs" a "war on terrorism", etc, etc, why can't we have a war on phone scammers?
Rang me on cell at 9:32 AM eastern 10/30/15. No message left.
Another suggested this was from Garden Grove Ln, Ringgold, GA but it could easily be a spoofed number.

Called at 9:30 am and hung up when I answered.  From Georgia.  Blocked after reading this thread.

Received call @9:30 am about lowering my credit card interest, final warning. Recorded message. No company name. Reporting it to Do Not Call number as I & my wife have received this before.

Received call at 9:21 AM today.  I have real estate rental ads running on Craigslist, Zillow and Trulia and am receiving scam calls as a result.

I will normally call a number on my landline if it comes thru on the cell phone...Not a problem if you dial *67 first...Which posts your incoming call to the receiving recipient as 'unknown'.  There is no charge for this in my area...

Well that wasn't what the OP said she did, and she supposedly pressed a number to remove the number from their list, which wouldn't work if it came through as unknown.  That trick also only works on non toll free numbers as well.  On toll free numbers since they are paying for the call, they get the information on who is calling.

It's some sand [***] asking about a credit card. He never said what company he was from and when I told him to go [***] himself, he hung up like a [***].
