Got a call, but no message. Rereish

This lady called me from this number harassing me over a credit card bill that was opened 16 years ago and was paid off 10 years ago. She kept talking over me and would not let me talk and continued to put words in my mouth for her recording. She also called on my cell phone and she should not be doing that.

Got a call from this number today citing a credit card bill that i do not recognize at all. The woman was actually very polite to me but, her reciting ALL of my recent credit score information was unnerving. I asked for the information in writing, she got my email but I received no information. After reading other comments I think maybe this was a credit card I had years and years ago but I would have been either paid off approx 10 years ago or included in a bankruptcy I filed 15 years ago. I have no idea. Odd call.

Probably a scammer trying to get you to pay for a bogus debt - or as you said, one which has already been paid off.  

Per the FDCPA, you should not pay any caller who refuses to mail - do not accept email or fax - proof of debt/proof your caller has the legal right to collect.  Refusal to mail this documentation within five days of their first call is a violation of federal law.  It's scary how easy it is to get peoples' information online.  In other words, don't take a caller's word for it that you owe a debt.  The burden of proof falls on the caller to show you owe that money to them.
