Called my home, didn't recognize call. Went to voicemail. No message.  Another website said it was the Microsoft SCAM guys. Don't know for sure....fyi ID SHOWED:     VOIP CALLER  (WHATEVER THAT IS???)

VOIP CALLER is Caller ID spoofing is the practice of causing the telephone network to indicate to the receiver of a call that the originator of the call is a station other than the true originating station. For example, a Caller ID display might display a phone number different from that of the telephone from which the call was placed. The term is commonly used to describe situations in which the motivation is considered malicious by the speaker or writer.

Received hang up call in my voicemail.  Number blocked.

**Apparently Dilip from New Delhi has been very busy this morning attempting to scam the unsuspecting.

michigan here (small town) .  East Asian accent : 1st thing said " calling about your computer".  played the "clueless deaf old lady and yelled " my computer? i have someone who takes care of that for me.  Goodbye"  might be as well that i finally got rid of all traces of "mysearchdial"  and had work done on my line that dumped a few hangers on.  

"Microsoft Service Dept" wants to fix a serious problem in my computer.  Played along to waste his time ... had him going for three or four minutes.  Asked him how he knew about the problem ... He said that my phone number was registered with his department.  Asked him who registered my number ... He had no answer, called me an idiot and hung up.  Sounded like an Indian or Pakistani or similar accent.

Was difficult to understand the heavily accented Hinglish (albeit better than my nonexistent Hindi) but he claimed to be some sort of Windows tech service, concerned about a highly dangerous problem that I MIGHT have brought on myself a couple days ago when I had the temerity to access the Internet and open a suspicious email.  Unfortunately, before I could take his brain out and play with it our connection was mysteriously terminated.  Shuckydarn, I thunk.  Oh well - other things to amuse myself today, sadly for him.

just received a call from this number and what it is, is people trying to gain access to your pc.  They will ask you to run a ipconfig command and read your ip address to them.  I kindly told them I was a engineer for Microsoft (MCSE) and they ended the call QUICK....DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR IP ADDRESS TO ANYONE...

It's the old Microsoft support call (from India).  In case you don't know, it's a scam.  I enjoy jerking them around for a while.  It's a contest to see who can keep them on the line longest before they hang up.
