- CWG40 replies to bdoggyYou've been scammed by a phony loan company. No legitimate loan company will loan you money over the phone or by e-mail. On-line loan applications are suspect too, since you don't know where your information will wind up.
You've lost your $105.00 .

Pre-payment fees for loans are illegal in most US states. - MAD replies to bdoggyI got an e-mail the information seemed to be valid. After all they had citi-financial....when you get to the fine print about sending an application fee...WRONG! this is just wrong...
- Julie Byrne| 1 replyI have received over 30 harassing and threaten calls with all different phone numbers saying my name was on a list but refused any info of the list.
- Caller: refused

- Stephanie PetermanI received over five calls from this number today ALONE!!! I have yet to check my call log to discover if they've called previously. I don't know the name of the company, because when I called back (I had missed all the calls they made to me, for a variety of reasons), there is no stated business name, which seems fishy in and of itself: most legitimate business owners proudly announce their names so you can give them good word-of-mouth referrals, if nothing else.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Stephanie Peterman replies to bdoggyOh, gods, that is terrible! Let me make an educated guess and say that he wanted the "proof" that you could repay them via purchase of a green dot card. I've heard that particular story several times. Perhaps you should e-mail the FBI using the link someone else posted elsewhere on this thread.
- Stephanie Peterman replies to Julie ByrneUpon checking my voice mail, I've discovered that the company at this number left me 3 messages, claiming to be citi financial. Given that I just opened a bank account with citi on Friday, I find it highly unlikely that they're already making overtures to lend me this much money. The guy who left the messages claimed to be named "Harry", but it was definitely the same voice each time.
- Jon AndersonI got a voicemail message that my mom got her loan application approved by Jon Anderson. There are several problems with this call. 1) Jon Anderson is apparently Indian because the accent was quite evident. 2) My mom did not apply for a loan. 3) My mom does not have an account or applied to Citi Finances (which I am assuming is not affiliated with Citigroup). 4) Why are they using a 707 area code number about a loan? Shouldn't they be contacting me on one of those 800 numbers (888, 877, etc.)? 5) This one is the one that convince me this is a scam. "Jon Anderson" forgot to hangup after his little spiel about my mom's "loan application". I heard a woman's voice telling "Jon" other scripts to go over. If that doesn't convince you this is a scam and not answer you phone from this number, I don't know what will.

- MartinSame here. I picked up the phone right after the call so I could enter the number into my call blocker. Their call didn't disconnect and I heard some Indian dude complaining about his job with someone I could barely hear in the background, not sure if it was a man or a woman. I started making ghost noises as loud as I could (Buuuuuuwwwwaaaaaahhhhhaaaahhhhaaaa, OOOOOooooooo, comin' ta gitcha!!!) and all of a sudden they shut up and the phone went dead. Who ya gonna call? Not me, I blocked you jerks!

Hello,
Please find the attachments Loan agreements papers. Here is the company overview.
Citi Financial knows that Paychecks are not always enough to cover all of the expenses. You have enough money to pay rent, put some food on the table and take care of the basic necessities, but there never seems to be enough to start a decent savings account. Then something unexpected happens. Your car breaks down, or a family member gets sick.
Trying to find the extra money to handle these types of unexpected expenses is frustrating and stressful when there is never any money leftover once you have paid all of your bills. How in the world are you supposed to handle these types of financial emergencies when your savings consists of a jar full of pennies? Do you swallow your pride and turn to your friends or family for a loan?
This problem is a very common occurrence all over the United States, and it is happening more every day. There are millions of people who are in the same exact situation as you, but a lot of them have found a great solution to help them get through any type of financial crisis.
They have discovered the Citi Financial Is the solution to the problem, Many people think so, but keep reading to find out how a Citi Financial can benefit you.
Looking forward to speak with you.
Thanks & Regards.
