- R. Regs| 11 repliesSaid I needed to call back as I was subject
to action by US Tresury criminal enforcement.- Caller: Claimed US Treasury enforcement
- JoeNJ| 3 repliesGot call a few minutes ago on landline. ID "Napa, CA" We did not answer but they left a message. As with R.Regs I was asked to call this number because there was legal action against me from the treasury department. Said he was Guy Martin (in Indian/Pakistani accent). I'm pretty sure this is a SCAM as any legal action against a person has to be in writing. I'm not calling the number back to verify this. He should be prosecuted for this type of call as I'm sure it is upsetting to an older person that may not be aware of tactics like this to get personal information.
- Caller: ?
- BowildhaxReceived a call from this number - message was from a "Steve Martin" in heavy accented Indian voice stating the same as I needed to call because a matter via a magistrate (really?!) that would result in criminal action. I live in an area with many senior citizens and one could be confused and call back this number. BIG SCAM.
- Call type: Prank
- NJ Resident| 1 replyI just got two calls from the same scam. Said he was Steve Martin. I don't think that was his real name based on the accent...
Seems like BS to me. - DS replies to NJ ResidentThey even off-shore scamming now - wow it's incredible. I also just got the same call. "Steve Martin" really??? with the heavy indian accent... They really think people are stupid or what but I guess some fall for it especially senior citizen.
I wish there was a way to report these. There is call back number. Why can't law enforcement call the number and try to prosecute? - ericNJClaimed there was an issue due to "US Treasury enforcement". Said to call back at 707-637-0192 to avoid unspecified penalties. Message was from Steve, or Guy Martin. Accent was too thick to understand the first name.

- SJ Caller| 1 replyGot a message from Steve Martin said he was with the Treasury Dept. Wanted to tell me there was an arrest warrant for me. Sounded like he was calling from India so I am not really worried. Glad to see others had the same call.
- Caller: Fake US Treasury
- Bogus Caller| 3 repliesGot a vm today from "Steve Martin". I called back and he said his name was "Robert James". High pressure, just a scam.
- M. S. Hanioglu replies to Bogus Caller| 2 repliesThis is a scam. Somebody with a very thick Indian accent left a message that I could not fully comprehend on my answering machine. I called the number back and the person asked me to make a payment "in cash" to avoid arrest and other charges. He got very angry when I asked him questions and hung up.
- Are they terroists?| 2 repliesI called back the number multiple times from various phone extensions at work. I proceeded to give them false names and each time they gave me different amounts I owed. I gave one of the operators, Michael Daniel, an earful....He asked what I was going to do about it....He further asked me if I remembered 911. He said his next target is my house and then the Whitehouse!!! Something is wrong with these people!!! Not sure who I should call, but this needs to stop.

- NotoriousLLol Steve Martin ( Indian dude Lol) from the treasury department calling about a federal offense. yea yea yea. These people are shameful and it's unfortunate that they aren't prosecuted in any way, shape or form.
- Caller: Treasury Dept aka Scam Network
- JessicaI got same message. I think I saw a reporter on FB say his wife almost fell for this scam a few weeks back.
- Jessica replies to Are they terroists? That's creepy.
- BobAmazing that anyone would fall for this. Scare tactic of prosecution by treasury services. And the accent don't help. LOL I'll probably call back to waste some of his time and see what info I can get so I can report this.

- Kim MarieI received this call, and of course, didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. He left a message about the treasury dept. although I could barely understand a word he said due to the heavy Indian accent. Between this and the one who claimed to be from the IRS clearly they don't understand how the US government works and think that we as a country must all be stupid.
- Caller: 7076370192
- GregI thought it was DEan Martin and he came back not as a singer. Bogus caller.
- ScottReceived two calls from same number in last 30 minutes can't even under stand the whole message because of the indian accent. WHAT A SCAM
- Joe| 1 replyGot the same scam call from "Steve Martin" (Indian accent) claiming to represent the U.S. Treasury regarding an "enforcement action". Not calling him back, but I'm worried about elderly people being fooled by this kind of nonsense. I'm trying to reach the Department of the Treasury to see who this can be reported to.
- Caller: Company not identified
- Carol Ci got the same message. I called back and he advised he was from US Treasury Office and there was a problem with my taxes. He refused a supervisor and to send me any info by mail. He stated the police would be sent to my door to arrest me.
Someone needs to shut them down and warn people on the news if this is a scam.- Caller: 707-637-0192
