Hey toby I'm renting a room in Washington State and this person responded today. so if they replied to you and me it's a scam

I got a email saying to text and call 707-706-3519 in forest Hills NYC to rent a house.  It is a scam.

I also got one today, the persons name in the email came up at Zeina, I'm in Iowa, glad to know its a scam before I contacted the person

I got a email today too , same phone # ....

I also received an email today in response to a post.  The name left was Zeina. Looks like she plans to live all over the US.

In Hawaii, posted rooms and shares and Zeina want a text at this number.  What kind of scam is this?

Same as everyone else.  My place is in Baltimore, MD

When put ad on Craigslist, I write,

Most of the spam emails sent by software programs, so they would the return email address by Crigslist. I usually do not respond to them.

That is very true as matter of fact, she is "professional" live with people, so could be anywhere, similar to when finding jobs, we could not limit ourselves too much, in particular, the "real" job market is not so good.

I googled her name as i am also renting a room (Virginia Beach, VA) and she gives an exotic story of having a French mother and and American father...i think she may be going by a different name also as this email parrots another except she says she's 22 and her father is her financier and she's here on research blah blah blah but glad to see this before i gave too much information. She was very eager to get my address to send payment when I make it crystal clear I need references or a background check.  She emailed from this email address...jimmysniz@gmail.com  heres the email she sent...

I just received the exact same email from this Zeina woman...felt sketchy. I'm renting a room in Michigan ... apparently she wants to live everywhere!

Definitely some sort of scam except now she is e-mailing job offers in response to resumes she finds online. Wants a return e-mail and text to a Cali phone. Crazy stuff. Strange thing is I can't figure out what the gain could possibly be obtaining your e-mail addy and phone number. Any clues?
