I'm calling a number back only for rude George to pick up and say " the call is being monitored.. very rude and over talked me only to find out they calling the wrong number!!

I have gone through this very thing. I can tell you from personal experience that debt collectors rarely accept that their contact information is outdated. They continue to call no matter how many times they are informed they they reached a wrong number.  I have since learned that my best and only option to end the calls was to send a cease and desist letter by certified mail to the companies that were calling.

Calls often! Two or three times a day.Never leaves a message.Maybe the wrong number but why bother telling them as they keep calling.Just do not answer.
