My caller ID showed this number.  I did not know it so did not answer.

They say they're with "Card member services" - seemed like a scam. I pressed "1" and asked them to stop calling (this is 4+ calls in the last couple of days) and the guy who answered hung up on me. No reputable firm would do that.

Got a call about lowering my credit card interest rates due to the stimulus plan by pressing 1. I pressed 2 & connected to a guy & I asked the name of the firm calling since they are violating the do not call list & he said every credit card agreement allows their calls. When I told him I did not think that was accurate he told me to burn in hell & hung up on me! Obviously, some kind of scammers.

We are receiving MANY unwanted calls from this number.  When we answer it is a 'credit card service' pre-recorded message.  Other times the other line hangs up on us when we answer.  The caller ID shows that this is a 'wireless caller'.  Would like to know how to stop these calls as they come at all times during the day/evening.

These people called me again this morning after they called a few days ago from another number (701-661-1003). I listened to their message and then pressed 2 to opt out of their calls, but little good did it do. They just called back from another number. Exact same message though!

Like the other people that have posted here these people have called me at minimum 5 times and everytime i've asked them to stop calling me but everytime I just get hung up on. My number is on the do not call list but if I can't get a name or an actual phone number there's not much I can do. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very glad to hear them.

Does anyone know a why to stop these calls?

I received a call on 11/26/11 at 12:16 pm and 2:51 pm from a robo-dialer showing 708-417-2636 that asked the I stay on the line to reduce my interest rate on my credit card. I have received this same message from many other numbers and on average get 5 calls per week with the same voice and message. I come home to messages on my answering machine.

This is a new #. Sometimes they are blocked, sometimes it is an 800 # and sometimes there is a regular area code, but this is the same company calling over and over

I stayed on the line to speak to a live person and when I said I was on the Do Not Call List, the person who answered hung up on me

I'm tired of receiving these calls and being interupted at home with daily calls that should not be made to my number.

I can't figure out why I would get a call 708-417-2636 when in fact my number is blocked.
Do these nuts have nothing else to do but annoy people at work.

They need to fall in a pile of [***].

Recorded message from "Card Member Serivces" who told me to press 9 to reduce my rates. Same ol' message; different number. These calls are SO annyoing, and I don't know how to make them stop.

I just got this call too. I pressed 1 and a person answered. I asked,"What credit card?". She hung up. Seriously?? I called it back and it says the person is unable to take calls at this time. Jerks.

Caller said his name was Matt. When I asked to be removed from the listhe said ,"Whatever. I don't care  !" Then he hung up.

I just received 2 calls from this number 6 minutes apart (although the message says this is the 2nd AND FINAL time they will call and make this offer - I wish it was the final time...).  I wish there was an 'app' to block calls like this!  The call is about lowering the interest rates on credit cards and it's a recording.  I receive these calls off and on but don't know if it's from the same number.  The recorded message doesn't say the name of the company and I won't press '1' to speak to someone live to find out.  Sometimes the message says you can press 3 to be removed from the calling list but I think all that does is disconnect the current call.
I thought the "do not call" list was supposed to cover calls like this.  How do they get around that?

You have to go to www.ftc.gov and file a complaint. I do it for every single number they use every single time I receive a call from them where I know it's them. The federal government can't do a thing unless they get complaints stating when they called, what type of call it was, what number they called from, if your number is on the do-not-call list, etc. Any information you give them is obviously kept confidential as it's a government site, and it really DOES help them when they take the company to federal court. They are also, actually, real close to doing this at the moment. They've been investigating this company for well over a year now, and have a LOT on them already. Just hang in there and keep the complaints rolling in to them about this company. It's just taken a while to get the ducks in order, as the scammers are using VOIP among other things to make everything harder for the feds.

Also, there is a LEGIT company by the same name, and they're cooperating with the government in this matter, as it's really hurting their bottom line, too. I know because I called them to make sure it wasn't them calling me from all these different numbers.

Just got the same call.  Tried to register a complaint on the ftc website but the number hasn't been active for more than 30 days so they couldn't take the complaint.

Got the same nasty attitude from the young charmer on the phone as well.  And yep -- no legit company would pull that.

ANNOYING....I call back and get a message the person I'm trying to reach is unavailable and then a bunch of spanish gibberish.

I have the perfect response for these a$$holes, and it's quite simple - I have no credit cards.  Zip, zero, nada.  They can't claim thata my credit card agreement allows them to call and any information they have that says I do must be fraudulent.

And I REALLY do not have any credit cards - cancelled them all over ten years ago.  Only one debit card and that's it.

I started getting these phone calls a couple of months ago. It's getting absolutely ridiculous! We are on do not call list, we have no debt so I really don't understand how these people got our number, or why are they calling us? We have caller id, so we could just ignore them hoping that they will go away, but that's not the case. They got so bold, they even called us on a Sunday morning at 6:30 am, which is not allowed even for telemarketers. When I try to tell them that I am on do not call list, and I want my name removed from their calling list, they get very rude. I called my phone company and they told me how to use a feature on my phone in order to block them, which I did, the bad thing is that they will find another cell phone to call from. I got calls from VA, NJ, FL, they must have a whole network of losers that they employ. I filled also a complaint with the FTC, I hope that they can do something and make them stop for good. Even though it's time consuming and extremely annoying, I will report them every time, maybe if more and more people do it, they will be banned from making these calls.
