someone called,just want to know who it was or if it is a solicitation number.

It is a collection agency.

A woman called asking for information on a person who wasn't home claimed they couldn't give any information because it wasabout a personal matter. Asked if mother had power of attorney.

its definately a colection agency....

I just received  a call from her to,
I called the number back, at night and it went straight to  her voice mail
with no more information other than her name Mrs. Holten?
she left a vioce mail message, sating that "she can not say why she is calling, other than that it is not a tell a marketing" and to call her back.

The phone call is from Newfoundland! Don't call back. When I get callers who won't say what their business is or ask for personal info, I enter them into my phone book as "Do Not Answer" so it shows on my caller ID and I can ignore it. Just a suggestion.

Had a call from this number, would not say what company they represented. she said they deal with many different places.  ask if I h ad Power of Attorney, they were looking for my Dad. She wanted me to fax her a copy... why would I since she would't tell me who I was faxing it to. I told her to send my Dad a letter and when I receive it and if it was legit I would call her back then, she said a letter went out regular mail on April 4/2011 at 5:02 PM, we never received anything. If it was a collection agency don't most idenify themselves?? anybody got any more info

Collection agency, works with visa among others Im sure.

Just got a call from this number asking me for all kinds of personal information like  DOB where I'm from and etc and told me that the call is recorded.... I told them first of all you called me and you have my name and infomation... And then I ask her stop right there befor you go any further, and let me ask you a few questions YOU SEE PRIVACY ACT WORKS BOTH WAYS then she tells me that she is not autorize to give me her information STOP RIGHT THERE MISS.

If this is indeed a collection agency or some other company they are breaking the law,  they are required to identify themselves and not to start asking nosy questions. I doubt its a bill collector anyway as one of these calls came for me at 1am. If they won't identify them self then hang up immediately.  I live i Nova Scotia and recently there have been quite a few murders and attempted murders throughout this province.  Giving too much info to someone who won't identify his or her self is stupid and dangerous. I'm sorry if this sounds dramatic, but it's always better to be safe now than sorry later.    the user named "Moe" is absolutely right when he posted "BS"
When the caller said "I'm not authorize to give you my information" then if it's a bill collector than that was a big lie.  Bill Collector's are REQUIRED to give you information and identify themselves especially when you ask.  Hang up right there and dont call them back.  I wont be calling back for many reasons, one being that it's long distance.  Let them pay the charges

The Same Lady Keeps Calling here too wont say anything but it is a Personal Matter for my Spouse and She Also said she knew where he was when I said he was away im Kinda Creeped out her Name was Miss Hollet

I just got the same call looking for my husband. She said he gave this number for a contact number, I thought it may had been a doctors office, and told her our house number, so stun of me. But no one is home during the day anyways so sucks to be her. She wanted him to call tomorrow, it's kinda weird, if it is a collection agency that isn't saying who they are, can't they get in trouble and drop what ever credit problems you have with them?

This is very weird.. Miss Hollett is still on the prowell - you were correct when you do the reverse look up on her phone number it is very strange that it doesn't come up..

I am getting calls from her everyday now since about 5 days ago.. it's getting incredibly weird and it's freaking me out! She wouldn't give me any information on herself so I said if you won't identify yourself than neither will I and I hung up the phone.

I also just recieved a call from her... wouldn't give me who she worked for, just a name, and Mrs. Hollet. Anyone been able to get any information out of her?

Mrs Hollett is a very aggressive collector, and also does break the law when doing so, stating she can call whenever and whereever she wants.

Just got the same call today, called my friends name that was listed in mothers obituary and said
his number was listed as a contact for my deceased mother. When I called her I got no where in
my questioning, she now uses the name Marlene , no last night, Told her I was calling the RCMP and
reporting her. and that I had searched her number before I called her.

Meant to say no LAST NAME.
