No Idea who or why this number called +7 (0980986-96-9

I also just received a call from this number and they left no message. I did discover that 709 is the area code for Newfoudland and Labrador, Canada.

I think it's a scam. They called me today and an automated message said "We have a great special for you for being such a valued Costco member. Press 1 to receive this special" (or something like that)
Totally a scam...I've never had a Costco membership and this is a brand new phone # that no one has yet.

Did you try and call Costco to see if they know anything about this matter ?

I just got a call from the same number.  area code 709 is from NFL/Labrador area.  This is NOT the first call I've received from them. In the last month, I've gotten 3 calls like this.

Got a call from the same number earlier today. I was in a call so looked at caller ID and it. said Newfoundland, I ignored the call.

SPAM!!! got a call from this number just now.... "beacuase you are a valued customer....."

Same here, asking to press one on my cell phone, I did not press any thing and then after few second it got disconnected.

Recieved call @ noon. 709-898-6969 & thankfully i have prepared my cell phone for telemarketers. my answering machine is set to " the number you are trying to reach is not in service... beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep" and so forth. =]

I got the call too and didn't answer it. no voice mail left either. is it safe just to ignore these calls?

Funny thing is, I've had my cell number for 10+ years. This is the first telemarketer call that I get on it.
I just got my first iPhone last week. Maybe one of the apps I installed is illegally collecting phone numbers?

Got my third call from them yesterday.  Finally had enough and pushed "1" ... chewed the guy out and he refused to pass me to his supervisor, refused to disclose where he got my number.  Finally forwarded me to the travel agent for my "free trip" ... agent name dropped "Rogers Wireless" as the source of my info ... then hung up on me when I asked to speak to his supervisor.
