Some guy with a Jamaican accent calling looking for my wife.  When I asked who it was, he said it was her boyfriend.  I said don't call here again.  The phone rang a few seconds later from another number (934-562-3661), and it was the same guy asking for my wife.  I said to stop calling again and hung up.  The phone immediately rang from this 710 number and i told the guy I would call the cops if he called again.  He said "Do what you want.  I am not afraid of you." and I hung up.  Finally the 934 number called again, I ignored it and the calls ceased.  What the hell is wrong with people?

Just received multiple calls from an "unknown name, unknown number" asking for my wife.  They claim to be with U.S. Government and asked about my hip, or knee replacement (which has never taken place).  When I told him to stop calling he challenged me about having a hip or knee replacement and told not to call again.  He said he was calling from Florida, Miami (not the correct way of stating where you live - Miami, Florida), so he is obviously not from this country.  He then called back from the 710-201-3266 number and started up once again.  When challenged he ended the conversation with very bad broken english profanities.  After 7 calls in 10 minutes the calls seem to have stopped - at least for now.

my husband picked up a call from someone purporting to be from the US Government and when I went to check call identifier the number 710-201-3266 with US Government came up.  He had an "Indian" accent and kept asking my husband to speak to his wife.  When I got the phone, there was a hang up.  Since I know that the US Government would send something through the mails and not make phone calls especially at 7 pm at night, I knew this was a suspect call.  Going on the internet, confirms it.

Same thing as mentioned above… he finally admitted to working for a law firm and he's admitted to wanting to sue someone…how does he use the US Government phone number?  Told him to never call me again as he refused to get off the phone and he then asked why I was interested in making any money to sue someone???

Caller ID said US Government so I answered - She had a heavy accent I couldn't place - She said her name, which I couldn't understand, then said  the company's name, which I couldn't understand - but I did hear insurance.  I said, Who are you?  The caller ID said US government.  Do you work for the US Government?"  She hung up and hasn't called back - yet  That was 5 hours ago.  I have Phone Power internet phone -  So I went there and blocked the number.  In the last 2 months I've blocked at least 10 or 12 numbers - most with the 710 area code.

I missed a call from this number, but they left a voicemail.  Officer Nick somebody was yammering on about suing me for something.  The message kept breaking up but it sounded like a call center because there was a lot of talking in the background.  So I permanently blocked the number.  Thanks Verizon!

The first call showed on the CallerID as U.S. Government and I was really puzzled as I really thought I was receiving a call from a Official U.S. Government Office,so when I answered once then 2 times then 3 and 4 with no voice on the other end it had me stumped and the line disconnected.I tried calling back and the recording said "We are unable to complete your call because operator assistance is not permitted for this call" and automatically disconnects.A few seconds later it rang again and same result-no voice or response when answered. That was the last I heard then I did a search and both found and read these other posted results. At least I now know it's some, maybe,Jamaican scam or some type of possible scam or just something not at all right and now if there's ever another call then I can play with them as they want to do with me,but I make them hate me so much they never call back. This works very well with telemarketers and even with tough telemarketers especially those in Asia major and minor...India,etc. .I play along, make stuff up they want to hear then speak jibberish and they become fed up and hang up then you never hear from them again..until the next idiot and do the same.No longer do I receive as many telemarketers calls as I once did.I've learned if you yell, scream and insult them they always call back or pass you onto another company, but if nonsense/jibberish is spoken they hang up since you waste THEIR time=THE KEY! I hope this helps others.

Received call from a woman with an Indian Accent regarding medical comp - when I asked for verification she hung up -

Caller ID says US Government - beware definitely some type of fraud

    From WIKI

"There is currently only one known working phone number in this area code. A special access code of 12 digits is required for using the service. Upon dialing this phone number, the caller hears a mechanical beep which prompts the caller to enter the access code. If a correct code is entered, they are prompted to dial the destination number (area code + number). If an access code is not entered at the beep, the call is then redirected to a live human operator who then asks for the access code."

Just received a call from this number and it showed up as "US Government." The man had an Indian accent and started asking me about my Christmas. Being I work as a medical biller, I thought he may have just been an over-friendly customer rep at first. He continued asking several questions about Christmas and if I had done all my shopping, until I said "May I ask what this call is about?" His response- "No! Sorry!" I told him I didn't have time for his call and he said "Busy? I'll call back tomorrow!", then hung up the phone before I could say anything. After reading all the comments about this number, he's in for one heck of a conversation when he calls back! Definitely sounded like a call center with all the background noise.

Unfortunately, Caller ID spoofing is relatively easy and inexpensive.

    http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caller_ID_spoofing

As Mike W. pointed out above, there's only U.S. Government number assigned to the 710 area code, and it's intended for incoming rather than outgoing calls.  So if you see the 710 area code and "U.S. GOVT." on your caller I.D., my advice would be to ignore it.  The scammer on the other end is simply phishing for information with which to defraud you.

Received called from 710-201-3266, wouldn't answer the first one until researched, and they didn't leave a message. Based upon what I read from others I expect many more calls.  Can't understand how our government would allow such a misrepresentation to exist without putting an end to it's fraudulent use. Hopefully they get caught.

answered a call from 710-201-3266 because caller ID was U S Government. Man with Indian accent said he was from the Department of Microsoft Windows. I said that I didn't have windows and hung up. What phone company handles that number? They ought to be able to stop this.

I just got the same exact # on my ID an Indian fellow from the US Govt. telling me that my that my computer has been hacked. Some how I knew if I spoke to him my computer would most certainly be hacked.
Just further proof that our real US Govt. is either completely incompetent or simply too lazy to look out for our backsides. Either way it is sad and infuriating that our own Govt. is willingly allowing this to happen. Thank you Mr. President for as you always say, "I'm looking out for you" bull%$&@...
