Who is he/she and why does he/she want me to send them a txt or call asap

She gave me this # to call her I dont know who she is

Same here.  Must be some sort of spam thing.  

I mean it's obviously a trap but I'm wondering what the hell the business gets from just sending a text over that way.

The account that is sending these messages is a fake account set up to send these messages in hopes that you will respond to them via text message. If you do, you will be sent a link to a pornographic site, according to a poster here who did text the number.

If you get a message with this number:

1) Unfriend the person sending the message.
2) Report the account to Facebook as either fake, spam, or scam.

In order to protect your information, as there is potential for identity theft as well:

1) Go to your privacy settings at the top of the page in the left hand corner.
2) Hide the following:
Your phone number
Your email address
Your date of birth (you can hide only year if you'd prefer)
3) Hide your friend list.

Why am I telling you to hide this information? In the case of phone number, email, and DOB, there is no real reason this needs to be on Facebook. Anybody close enough to call or email you probably already has this information stored in their phone or email contact list. They probably know your birthday as well.

As for your friend list, I believe this is how this number is finding new contacts. Hiding your friends list will prevent the people you know from falling victim

Which reminds me.. *derp*  this is also a crime by sending a link to the porn site! If they send it to a kid, its more jail time then a adult! I can't remember exactly, been awhile since I dealt with this.  But I think its 3 years for adult, 5 for kids..

I would encourage here that these be turned over to the internet crime division!

She did the same thing to me

Hey I'm a kid 12 years old

I received a friend request from what appeared to me one of my cousins friends and when I accepted it they messages me this phone # to text them 711-215-6462 and I did text I now know this is a scam of some sort and erased my Facebook but I don't know if I am still in danger

Waaw all those People she almost got me man. o_O>:)
