I get calls from telemarketer slime on my Verizon cell phone all the time. I never answer unless I recognize the number/area code and they usually don't leave any messages. I suspect that someone who was pissed at me put my number into telemarketer hell. Question is, how do I stop it short of changing my cell number?

Chase Auto Finance. This is the number they call from after many attempts to reach you. Some of you are most likely behind on your auto loan.

Chase uses this number and 2 others from different area coes they use these when calling cell phones. They will call from this number even without attempts at the primary number. They call 10-12 times a day this is harrassment.

I agree with the harrassment part. Even if you call them, speak to a representative and tell them ahead of time that your payment will be late they will hound you until it is paid. They don't care what time of day or night, if it's a holiday or even Sunday, they will call. Don't these people have a life or care that you may have fallen on bad times. It's not like you enjoy the 900 calls a day you get from them.

My caller ID says "Texas". I didn't answer it. I have an auto loan with Chase, so if it's them, it would make sense. However, when the caller ID doesn't declare it's Chase, why would I answer it? I don't know anyone in Texas.

Never more than 10, maybe 20 days late.  But as soon as I miss my payment date, here comes the phone calls.  Chase Auto Dialer.  Oh well, I just deal with it:)

First they called from Phoenix 7 times then it started with the Texas number. We don't have Chase loans. I've filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Website.

Chase Auto Finance.  They begin to call when you are a few days late on a payment and will persist until payment is made.  Even if you make arrangements over the phone for a post-dated payment they will continue to call until collected.  Generally not rude, but very persistent.

I get the same calls.  Granted, I am late, but my payment was due on the 18th.  The calls started on the 19th.  No one ever leaves a message.  I called back and let the rep know I would be late (duh!!) but they still call.  I've fallen a little behind due to unexpected bills, but they still keep pressing me about when I will be making the car payment.  They'll get the payment when I get the money...plain and simple.  They can't repo my car for not even being 30 days past due, can they?

WOW! I'm beginning to realize how "tenacious" Chase Auto Finance can be, but I didn't know they were THIS bad. This must be what it's like to be late in repaying a loan from the Mafia. They come and snip off a finger for every day you're late. Based on what I'm learning, Chase would even resort to THAT if they knew they could get away with it. A couple of times I've been two weeks late with my payment, but I'm beginning to believe they're actually as bad as those HELLISH collection agencies. At least THEY don't release their "Pit Bulls" until AFTER 30 days. And to send "Repo Man" so soon!!! I'm pretty sure that's illegal. I'll check on that one. Personally, I'm in the process of trading my "Chase" car in on something else and I'll NEVER use Chase again. I could easily throw in more stinging word here, but then this probably wouldn't be posted.

Okay, now I get it. Chase Auto Finance named itself after what they do best --- CHASE you. I'm only a few days late and they're calling me ALL day, EVERY day. I just ignore them. And this is even after calling them BEFORE my payment is due to inform them of the date my payment would be made, less than 30 days --- first time "offender". I hope they don't send the GESTAPO to kick in my door. So, now I'm gonna close my Chase checking and savings accounts and send a letter to their "Fuhrer" (CEO)to tell him why I did it. This seems so unnecessary. Their local banking people have been VERY nice. They're like completely separate companies.
