Someone called from 713-219-7180 and said they were from Verizon Wireless. I was not able to verify this information.

A female caller stated she was from Verizon Wireless, asked for my son by his given name (not the name he goes by), and stated my son had provided my number as an alternate contact.  She would not leave a message and ended the conversation abruptly when I began to question her name, as I was not able to understand how she identified herself at the beginning of the call.

I just received a call from this number, but the person hung up and did not leave a message.  I, too, have Verizon wireless.

Received call from ref. number. Caller said he was from Verizon Wireless and said they had received a call from our number and that they were told we were having a problem with the phone. He was very hard to understand so I hung up on him.

just received a call from this number... i didn't answer it, but then i got another call from this number so i answered it... and it was a verizon wireless representative trying to verify a family member trying to change something on my account with my permission.

I recevied a callback from Verizon Wireless from this number.  I had just finished a call with them updating some account info, and within minutes they called me back to give me some additional information, it was teh exact same rep who I had spoken to previously.

My wife and I both recieved a call from this number on our Verizon cell phones minutes appart.  We did not answer.  Then googled and came to this site.  Decided to call Verizon directly because of the posts on this site.  Verizon rep said it was not them. It was an Octel voice mail box with no ID.  Verizon rep said it was a land line from Southwestern Bell.  This is obviously a scam of some kind.

I too received a call from this number after speaking with verizon customer service it occured after I was placed on hold for ten minutes and so I had to disconnect with verizon. approx 5 min later I got a call from this number twice. I called back but when i answered no one was there

received a call at 8:08pm. I wasn't home.

My car was broken into the night of Feb 13, 2007 and one of the items taken was my cell phone. That following morning i called to report my phone stolen and after that i received a call from someone saying they had found my phone. After that i tried to return the call but all i got was this Octel phone messaging system. The call never seems to go through.

Received a call from this number on 3-19-08, no message left. I think this is the 2nd time it's happened. Have Verizon service, too - could be the common thread.

i received a call from this number on my cell phone 3-25-08 and i do not have verizon service.  i have sprint.

I had problems with my Verizon USB modem and called tech support on Saturday. I got a call from this number and it was the tech from Verizon who helped me with my problem calling to make sure everything was taken care of. It was the same person I talked to on Saturday.

the 713-219-7180 is a relay number in the US (because they are located outside the US) that the supposedly Tech Reps for Verizon use to call back to tell you that it is  not Verizon service that is not working like it is supposed to, but that it is the phone itself that is  bad and that you need to replace the phone. So then when you go into the store to get them to replace the phone they tell you that you have to buy a new one or if you have the insurance on the phone then you can pay $50 deductiable and get refub phone. You can not understand them because they are not American and speak very little english.

We received a call from this number on 5-11-08. Every time we tried to call back we got a different voice message or none at all. Our phones were useless for over 24 hours. Mine had to be reprogramed.

I got a message from this number saying that my soon to be ex husband was trying to add a line to my account and they needed my authorization to add it.  I called 611 to connect directly to Verizon Wireless customer service.  The person I spoke with looked at the notes on my account and said that there was no indication of any such activity that he could see.  He also said that there would have been notes posted to the account if an additional line was trying to be added.

just received a phone call from them today.  If I dont know the number i dont pick up.  They didnt leave a voice mail either.  SCAM national!!!!!!!!!!!!  Dirtballs!
