When I asked the call what company they were calling from, they said they weren't trying to sell me anything, but instead were making a courtesy call from some type of Security company.  I told them I wasn't interested & hung up.

Houston, TX...did not answer.
This is a scammer with a morphed telephone number. They have probably called you before with other numbers. These rip-off artists are getting so electronically savvy, they have programs that pick up on repeated number patterns that occur way above average between two specific numbers. So if you have a grown child who lives in another city, for example, and there are a lot of calls between your two numbers over time, one day you might get a call that has the same last 4 digits of your child's phone  number, only you won't notice that the other numbers aren't quite the same. Chances are you'll pick up the phone. And don't think you're the only one who might make that mistake. Grrrrr!  

All these home security-----burglar alarm harassment calls from a hundred different area codes has me in kill mode. I have 170 documented. This is outrageous. When is our government going to recognize this on slaughter of swamp and gutter slime and take action with the pathetic do not call list. What swamp are all these scumbags crawling out of?

Unfortunately my husband answered.  They  couldn't pronounce our last name which is as easy as Smith and there was a lot of noise in the background...Sounded like they were at a loud party...it was a phone bank.  Hung up the phone immediately. The caller ID carried our local area code, but the name was Out Of Area..  So very tired of getting these calls over and over.

 

Called me about a job offer as they "saw" my resume' funny thing is that no where do I reference insurance sales after telling them this they offered to tell me about their opportunities as in probabaly trying to sell me insurance or some other form of garbage
