This is United Recovery Systems, my account is up to date with the collector they represent but still they call being annoying. I pay my bills leave me the [***] alone!

Received a call today from this number. The caller ID read United Recover. Did not leave a message. I do not answer any calls from numbers which I do not know. If it is important, they can leave a message and I can call them back. I also do not call back any numbers that do not leave a message and I do not know. Don't allow these people (if they are truly people) to try and trick you into giving out any information or believing they have a correct number for you. Eventually they will get tired and stop.

Received a rude phone call from United Recovery Service. !

I keep getting these calls from United Recovery & another collection agency that is affiliated with them (but I can't remember the name right off hand... Advanta, or something like that, maybe?).  They never leave a message, & I absolutely refuse to call them back & get involved with them.  I have absolutely no debt.  I don't have a credit card.  I don't have a mortgage.  My cars are used clunkers I pay cash for.  My student loan was paid off 15 years ago.  I don't have any healthcare debt.  So, if United Recovery is a legitimate collection company, why do they keep calling me?  What's their game?  Did some deadbeat give them a false number that happened to be mine?  Or are they scammers, or is someone using their name &/or number to try & pull scams?  All I know about them is what I looked up on the Internet.  A lot of complaints & fishy sounding business practices, but I can't gauge if they're actually scammers.  I'll never answer their calls, I'm just curious why they're even calling me.  

Rang, did not answer, no message.  I pay all my bills on time, so why call me? Time to block call.

Just got a call from 713-458-3418 without audio for the first few seconds. I responded in kind as follows: I don't know you, get a life!

They call even on Sunday night. Asked them twice what they wanted & they hung up. I reported them on FCC consumer complaints site: http://www.fcc.gov/complaints

Follow up; just read on another site about a consumer being pestered by this company in connection with their Best Buy transaction. We just purchased electronic equipment from Best Buy 2 weeks ago. Wonder if it's connected?

United recovery comes up on caller ID. ..I am 5 payments behind on a best buy card due 2 job loss...this is what they are calling about. They don't speak English well, so obviously best buy outsourced their collection business. They cover up by using a Houston #.

This company is calling my number & asking for my daughter whom hasn't lived with me for 14 years.  I am not responsible for what my kids own so don't be calling my number about them.

You people are SO stupid! FYI, most companies DO outsource collections to third parties. It happens all the time. You shouldn't be surprised. And that Houston number they're (whoever "they're" is) using to "cover up"? The collector is BASED IN HOUSTON! What did you expect? A Ukrainian phone number?

Sooooooooooo.........tell them. Don't tell us. United Recovery doesn't likely monitor these sites, plus you're anonymous so they couldn't know who you are even if they wanted to. I don't work in collections, but from a business perspective it doesn't make sense for them to call someone who doesn't owe a debt. They're not going to collect anything from you (unless you're stupid), so it's a waste of their time and resources. Just tell them you aren't who they're looking for and that the person doesn't live at your residence. You don't have to tell them anything more (like it's your daughter or that you even know her - that's for them to figure out - like it matters to them anyway). HOWEVER, one word of caution: unscrupulous collectors will attempt to harass family members enough that they'll pay on behalf of the debtor. See why it's best to just keep your mouth shut on the details?

They called and asked for my sister.  We haven't spoken in over 5 years due to her unwarranted hate for me so I thought the kind thing for me to do was to give them her phone number and address after explaining the situation.  He laughed, removed my phone number and thanked me.  Karma ya know.  LOL.

The guy who called my home looking for my sister spoke perfect English.  Just because someone has an accent does not mean they aren't local.  Houston is a very diverse city.

Just because a caller doesn't speak perfect English with a Texas accent does not mean they are not sitting at a desk in the city of Houston.  Don't be a [***].
