713-507-0978

Received collect call, recording said it was from Harris County Jail.  There would be a $3 charge if I accepted call.  When I hung up, I called back the number on caller ID, and received recording "number is not in service".  I immediatly received two more calls with called ID's of 713-507-0978 and 713-507-9999

Recived a Collect call from Harris County Jail on 11-17-08.  I accepted it because my roofer had not been back to finish up on my roof; he had been in jail before, so I thought it was him calling me.  It was a foreign accented person yapping about "somebody got the baby.  Dial some # so I can call for $$ to get the baby back".  I hung up.  Learned my lesson...won't make that mistake again.  Then to add insult to injury, my phone company charged me an additional $0.50 for payphone useage from the Harris County Jail.  I think the inmates should have to pay the $0.50 payphone fee out of their funds...no funds...no calls, except for the 1st one - and they had better make that one count.

Received a call from this number 01/20/2009 around 5 p.m. the caller ID said payphone.  I answered it and it was an automated message that said it was a collect call from a Harris County Inmate and it would be $3.93 to accept.  I had read about this being a scam in the newspaper and also I never received a name of the person calling.  This is a scam don't answer it.

Recived a Call From Harris County Jail Just now. 2-04-09 @ 7:30pm. I hung Up. I'm not playing this game.

I recieved a call collect from 713-507-9964 harris county jail..   I don't know anyone who's in jail....I hung up before any charges could be incurred.  9 PM is kind of late for inmates to be onthe phone!
