Left message saying to call regarding a checking account.  Also, claimed to be from "legal department"

We just recieved a call from this # (713) 532-7383 Phone ID was cca said we wrote a bogus check to office Depot from an account we don't have..
is this a scam?

Called and said I had a bogus check from an account that I have never had...sounds like a scam to me.

could some one tell me if this is a scam
they call and say that if I don't call back I will be going to jail
he was very rude to be and insulied verdally

Got 4 different calls within a half an hour from this number...I finally answered and they told me all of my fathers information and that he had a bad check through walmart!!! This is a scam i called the better business burea and they confirmed it is a scam!!! Do not give this company your information!!!

Just received a call from CCA.  They are a law firm from Houston, TX.  They repersent banks where you have either written bad checks or did not have enough money in your account to cover bogus service charges.

Received a message from this place who says they are from CCA wanting money to cover a check we never wrote! It's a scam!

These people are crazy calling people on the phone and trying to scare people by telling them that they are going to jail is this a real business or just a scam?

if you get a call from them this is SCAM!!! they are lying about everything

Ms. Clark called me from this number (713-532-7383) they said they were cca, and that a warrant has been issued and that they was coming to pick me up at 4:30, if I did not pay 2,900.00 by 3:30.. I called the Nashville Metro Police Dept.. they told me that they only issue warrants from 8 am till 11:30 am.. and that this was possible a scam and not to give them anything..

She gave me Dead On advice.. Don't talk to the people anymore.. do not give them any banking information. and call where the check was written. tell them what is happening and make arrangements with them..

Left Message on our voice mail.  11:54 AM 4-6-11.  From a lady (from CCA a Law Firm) could not make out the name, She wanted my wife to call back regarding a legal matter, left this 800 number (800-880-3395) and even referenced a case number.  Very strange, not calling back and will block these numbers.

Got a call from these people. Left message that someone had written a large check against my account and they already had an affidavit signed and needed to talk to me. First the only people allowed to contact you on a matter concerning your bank account is YOUR BANK!! Don't ever respond to these idiots. If you listen to the person calling she is not very intelligent and sounds uneducated.

Got a call on a businesses line we have that isnt advertised or published. Woman said her name is Ms. Bradley and they are issueing a warrant for our arrest because of a check that was returned for unsufficent funds from 8/2010. what a joke...after I did some research online and saw it was a scam I called her back at 800-880-3395 x306 and acted very concrened and scared. I told her that I would be happy to pay her whatever is owed plus late fees. She tole me that she takes credit cards, debit cards ect. I told oh no I cant give my information on the phone but if she gives me an address I would overnight the money to her...well she didnt want to give me the address she said I could go to walmart and buy a gift card thats like a debit card.....LOL what a joke! I said oh no I cant do that then she started to yell and say I was going to jail yada yada yada....I started busting out laughing hysterically and she got mad and hung up. hehe Think I'll call her again everyday for a week for entertainment hehe

I never answer these numbers. Basically if the person calling is not on my own personal acceptance list, they are sent to my voicemail. I have gotten several like this before and they are usually the same. Saying I owe them several thousands and they are filing against me. That they can only talk to my legal representative. There is nothing on my credit report that reflects what they claim so I know it's a scam. I reported them to FTC and they have stopped from one company, but now they are calling from another line I guess
