The Fair Debt Collection Act (FDCPA) was put into place To give people legal rights when it comes to collection agencies and collection attorneys.  If this collection agency is calling you for a debt you owe or a debt that is not yours, they could be violating your rights.
If you are being contacted by this or any collection agency, get in contact with me, my name is Ryan Pfeffer and my company is FDCPA Compliance. The website is not up yet but my email is working. contact me asap so we can determine what rights these the bottom feeders have violated and take action.

This number keeps calling me all times of the day. Seven days a week If you answer no on is there. Found this  number 800-697-9258. You get a real person if you call it. They want your checking account router number and account number plus your drivers  number. I told them I would five it to them if they gave me theirs. They did not like it. I no longer answer the phone when I see on of the numbers. They call from 713-567-0499 & 886-844-4604

This company is aggressive. They so kindly loaned me money without my knowledge to pay for $7 vitamins I purchased on Amazon, when I accidentally selected a bank account that was closed, as my payment option. Never got an email from Amazon to change my payment, they just processed and sent me my package. 2 weeks later I get a letter from trs collection that I owe them $7 + $25 fee.  They are calling me regularly.  Amazon confirmed I owe them the money.  I feel like suing these people! Are they for real???

This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

This is regarding a Sears Home Improvement contract. I called the salesman, Tom, and told him to cancel the JOB and also told him that I put a stop order on the check.  I could not send a formal "Notice Of Cancellation" because I received those papers a day a day after the dead line noted on that "Notice".  I acted in good faith and expected the salesman (Tom) to do the same. Also, I was unable to enter the portal, using the instructions given me by the salesman (Tom), to receive the above papers.
