Number continues to call, never leaves voicemail.

Global Tel Link (GTL) is the company.  Calls received from this number originate in a correctional facility.  The inmate tries to call you and it is routed through this number.  You must set up a prepaid account with this company in order to speak to the inmate.

I have gotten 20 calls since April 7th,  I have answered none.  It is from a houston prison, according to call info on line.

A call came in from this number at 12:47 pm EST.  It went to voicemail.  A recording said a collect call was being made from a correctional facility by an inmate.  It said I could accept the call - one time - for free if I pressed 5. Otherwise, I would need to preload the account to allow collect calls.  Then today, I received a call from 800.483.8314 that says I need to pay to preload my account to accept collect calls from a correctional facility.  (The 800 has called before, but this is the first time that I am aware a message has been left.)

i just got a call from that number again..and it isnt from a prison.i called gyl they said it was an individual. ..
