- David| 8 repliesI have spoken with this woman twice in 2 days. She starts out by saying. "You're harder to catch than a rabbit on roller skates." I wonder how many people associated with this number use that phrase. she then proceeds to try to get us to contribute to the breast cancer society. We told her the first time that we couldn't contribute, but she called back again today.

Breas Cancer AM - Bikeracer| 3 repliesI have received six phone calls from Breast Cancer Charities of America in the past two weeks (11/14). The supposed "charity" is headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas. It claims to be an organization that offers resources such as rent, etc. to women with breast cancer. However, according to a 2013 report from channel 13, Houston's ABC affiliate, the organization has taken in 45 million dollars since 2009 while distributing only $187,403 in funds to women who need assistance. This is less than 1% of it's collections. The organization has refused all requests to answer questions about its use of funds. Definitely a "charity" that should be given a wide berth.

- MidNYteStormI believe there are far too many people that set up bogus charities in order to get around the DNCR. Because of this, I cannot trust any alleged charity that calls.
- PattyReceived this call on Sunday February 22, 2015.I could not believe this person was from "The Cancer Charity of America".
She went on and on about a donation. I tried to speak. She would not listen. I finally hung up on her. I am 81 years old and
have never hung up on anyone before. Surely the Cancer Society should put a stop to this. I can't believe they have not taken some action. Someone that rude was asking for a donation. You have to wonder about anyone who asks for a
donation by phone these days .Called the above phone number today, received a recording the number I called could not be
completed .- Caller: Breast Cancer America

- CrawdadI received same call with same line about being hard to reach. This is a SMART robo caller that is able to sound like a real person and respond to your answers to a limited degree. That is why she seems rude because its doesn't want to start a conversation. They are easy to detect if you know what to listen for. Try having a conversation with it. The harder/longer your question, the longer it takes for it to formulate an answer, or it will say something like "...sorry, I didn't get that..." Otherwise, just say "operator" and it will likely just hang up.

- jmg825This is a SMART robo caller and it definitely tries to sound like a "live" person, but I asked a question and got a very strange response, so it probably didn't really understand my question. Caller also made a comment "I'm so glad someone finally answered the phone instead of going to voicemail" so you think it's a live person but as the call went on it just got weird. I finally just said some random things and it replied "oh ok, thank you". I finally hung up and glad I did.

- MikeCalled me on home phone line with the "y'all are harder to catch than --- and I don't remember the rest. But definitely not legit, and only the Texas attorney general can do much to shut them down for spending 99 pct of what they raise on other than charity. Or maybe the Harris County DA if he has the inclination.
