- RisaYep. These idiots are preying on people who don't know that the IRS does not operate this way. You always get ample notice through the post office since they know where you live. They are so hoping people will 'settle; with them for a certain amount of money. Nothing quite like a robo-call. Another thing the IRS does not do--they have real people, but they do not normally call yu unless they are replying to a call you have made.

- DinaJust received a message from (713) 820-5278 stating they were the IRS and this was my final call. It also said, "IRS FILING LAWSUIT AGAINST YOU". The computer couldn't even speak proper english! They forgot "is" which indicates to me that there're foreigners.

- GerryI just had a voice message from a lady (from 7138205278) stating I had a lawsuit against me by the IRS. I had a similar call a few weeks ago and a man (speaking with a foreign tongue) was somewhat of an idiot (reading from a script) again saying I had an IRS problem. When I challenged him that this was a SCAM - he threatened me that an Officer would be at my door in less than 2 hours with a summons. Needless to say I threatened him back - with a few choice words - and he hung up. I wish we could trap these people and sentence them to 'hard labor' and make them think twice about doing it again.

- LinReceived call from this # this morning about 10:30 am Did not answer another member of my family who is 85yrs old also received a similar call . I went to IRS.GOV website and found a lot of info that was very helpful . They list a phone # yu can call 1-800-366-4484 and suggest that yu file a complaint about this with this gov. agency or go to their website www.tigta.gov as this is becoming a big problem. also contact FTC and file a complaint with them as well. Ican"t stand scammers .I almost got scammed over a year ago by some people claiming they were from Microsoft but I caught them before they could get any money form my bank account. Microsoft also has a notice on their website about this scam as well if any one has gotten a call from these scammers on their website. These scum are targeting people whom they don"t think are aware of how the IRS does business. I hope this info helps someone who doesn't know.
- RickSame story. Sounded fishy as the voice had an accent and not great English. Glad I googled the number and found this thread to confirm it was BS.
