Called several times, no one there....and hung up

Same here. I called back and it's Houston Chronicle and asked for them to add me to their do not call list.

We are receiving call from this number frequently.

It is to the Houston Chronicle.  Our number is on the national do not call list and we just made a report to the national do not call list.  I wonder how many laws they are breaking by calling me while I'm on this list. Hmmmm.......

Just got a call from the number.. My caller ID said unknown caller

Received a call from this number Caller ID shows no name.  We do not answer the phone can't be bothered with such calls, they are just wasting their time as we will not answer so they might as well give up.

I called back. Houston Chronicle. Why does a telemarketer hang up? I didn't ask him.

They called my number 15 mins ago. I didn't pick up the phone then added this number to the block list on my Panasonic phone.

I am on do not call list, yet they call frequently.  They hang up before message machine comes on.  Annoying, pest.

I'm on DNC lists, but got a call anyway. Said that they were going to leave a gift in my driveway on Saturday at my old address. Told them didn't live there anymore, don't call again.

I just received my second call of the day from this number.  This time I answered, but just kept the line 'open' without saying anything.  After about 10 seconds I heard a live female person say "This is so-and-so.  I am not calling to try to sell you anything."  (yeah right!)  But because I didn't say anything, after a brief pause they said "Hello?" and then hung up.

Take me off your caller list

Just call the number .. they will say 'thank you for calling back' without telling you who they are.  Then they say 'we're not trying to sell you anything, we just want to tell you how you can receive a wonderful new product every Sunday called The Good Life'.  Then tell them 'I'm not interested, please put me on your do not call list.  They will xfer you to an autobot that repeats your phone number & asks you to press '1' to be added.  That's it.

They started calling me once a day, then twice, and recently they call me multiple times every day.  Now to get some peace.  They are calling an unlisted number which I don't give out to anyone & I don't currently subscribe to the newspaper.

They have called three times today. The third time
I answered and they hung up??? Why call, if they are

they just call all the time. asked them over and over to stop calling me but they continue

He said that he called on the behalf of Sacramento Bee and said that I owned them $16 something. I told him off that this is a scam.
