Calling and telling me to have my attorney call or else
Very threatening and trying to intimidate person they are calling.

I got a call saying that they are from a law office and they have a case against me or something like that

this number is calling me and to have my attorney call them or else too . that there is a fed law suit aginst me . i have nothing out on me and have not done nothing wrong. they have calledme like 4 times today my cell and work . who r thees people and what do they really want?

me too....I don't know who they are! but they can kiss my a**!

They are calling me saying I have a legal action against my social security number and I just hung up on them and told them to send it in writing.

Same scenario as the others.....rec'd a call from 714-243-8316. Man identifies himself as working with a law office. States that I am being brought up on charges and there is a lawsuit pending  for not repaying money deposited in my account, on the agreed upon due date.
I DID NOT receive ANY money in this manner. And called my bank for confirmation. She looked up the phone number and advised me of the scam to scare people into sending money to this so called "law firm". She put a flag on my account for safety measures, and advised me to fill out a police report.

They called my work and my boss is questioning me about what this is all about.  I explained and he understood!  This is a scam and I have reported it!

Theses foreign people have been calling my number too. Calling my supervisor number at work as well. they are some sick people. I have gotten calls from three different numbers already and I just curse them out and hang up the phone on them. You can call this number to the FTC and report them and have your number removed. They called an threatened me with a lawsuit as well.

These people are debt collectors who can do nothing to you except keep calling you.  Here is how to handle them.  Tie them up on the pheone as long as possible without giving any information,  If you have to just lay the phone down for awhile.  It is so much fun to waste their time so waste as much of it as possible.

I received the same call from this phone 714-243-8316 advising me to get an attorney because their client is suing me. Since July I have been getting this call, but they have not sent me any information regarding the lawsuit they advised me that they can not because it has not downloaded yet. I don't know the name of their law office or anything. I need for them to stop calling because I have not done anything illegal that their client is accusing me off. I have not received any notification from their client at all in order to remedy the situation before they went and hired an attorney.

I started receiving calls on 9/13/11 at work. I have no idea how they obtained my work number. This was a person who's first language is NOT english. He yelled in the phone, but I immediately stopped him and advised him that he is NOT to call me at work, then provide an attorneys name, but what I found so funny is that when I starte to state the attorney's phone number, he immediately hung up.

They called again today and I advised him the same thing, and again he hung up when I started to state the attorneys name.

This person "claims" to be James White with the McKinney Law Firm in California.  I'm curious if he has given the same name & firm to others???   http://www.mckinneylawoffice.com/

He made the mistake of threatening me because I would not transfer his call.  Threatening someone over the phone is a federal offense.  Our attorneys are now involved.

Suggestions, if you don't happen to have corporate attorneys at your disposal...
* Ask him to send information in writing to document whatever claims he has.  Do NOT give out any personal information over the phone.
* Keep a log of every time/date that he calls, what he says (if you stay on the phone that long) etc.
* After two weeks of keeping a log, your phone company should be willing to block the call for you.

Same here. Has thick Indian accent but gives "American name" repeats ss number, federal law suit etc.
all is fake and they will probably ask for money if u fall for it..to get you out of trouble of course.

I received the same type of call @ my job on 09/16/11 caller said his name was James White with Law Group of Mckinney very rude & nasty they talk very fast he also tried to threaten me.I threaten him back I told him I' m reporting him to the BBB and have my Attorney to give him a call he hung up the phone.

Don't fall for the scam they are trying to get you send money via prepaid card or moneygram /western union,they will try threatening you by saying lawsuit aganist you for unpaid payday loan company..But don't have information on the so call claim on you. When I asked for date of transaction & no# to the so call payday loan co.he hung up the phone..

I returned their call today and told them that I researched them online and found out they were scamming people to get money and I have reported them to the FTC. They hung up on me.

James White is the same one that called me.

I received 10 calls back to back from this number on my cellphone and at my job this morning (9/21/2011) where caller said his name was James White (with an extremely heavy Indian accent!) with Law Group of Mckinney. The caller refused to tell me why he was calling only to state that they had a case against my SSN number, which he couldn't validate. He called me a [***] several times and I each time I terminated the call, he hung up and called right back. The last time I let it go to voicemail, and he hit zero to go to the operator where he harassed our administrative assistance and demanded to speak to the owner of the company!!

The admin asked for the name of this business and a fax number with the intent to deliver an cease notice and he hung up. i have initiated a complaint with the FTC and will reporting him to the BBB and whatever other goverment agencies deemed appropiate. These guys need to be stopped!!

The same guy called me!  I always let unknown numbers go to voicemail.  This isn't the first time.  I went to the FTC's website and filed this complaint:

I receievd a call on my cell phone from 714-243-8316 on 9/21/2011.  A man with a heavy Indian accent who identified himself as "James White" from a company that sounded something like "McKenzie Law Firm," or the like, left a message stating that they have a lawsuit against my social security number, and he correctly recited my last 4 digits.  He threatened to call my friends, family, and employer (whom he also correctly identified) if I did not call him back.  I called on my office line so that he would not have record of my cell.  He then identified himself as "Mark."  I told him my name and that I received a voicemail from his "company" stating that there is a lawsuit involving my socisal security number and that he threatened to harrass my family, friends and employer if I did not heed his warning.  I informed him that I am a lawyer as well (I do have a law degree, in fact), and that a complaint has already been filed with the FTC.  I told him that if he does not cease and desist, there will be legal repercussions for himself and his "company."
