Just got a stupid text message telling me that I won some VIP passes to Club Ember.

Jay, I just got the same thing. Wonder how they got my number. I've never even been to Club Ember. Why would they be texting me about winning VIP tickets to that place? :-/

Received a message stating I had received VIP passes to Club Ember. I don't know this company or place, and I do not go to clubs. The message told me to text 'George De La Vega' at 714.396.9714 to get the passes.

I got the same thing, where can we report this abuse?

Received the same text, seems maybe the phone numbers are harvested from MySpace?

Yeah, I  just got this text this morning. However, missing spell the word "passes" into "pases" and I won't take you seriously. Besides, anyone who knows better won't club in Anaheim or text for VIP "pases"

800notes should do something really smart, which is set up lawsuits and complaints to the FCC because the law against junk text and calls to phones on do-not-call lists is a thousand or more PER VIOLATION. I'd HAPPILY give 800 notes a 50% share of the payout if 800 notes would set up all the legal action and follow-through.

Received an unsolicited text from this clown who promotes for some crappy nightclub called Club Ember (also known as Ember Cafe and Music Club) in Anaheim. I guess this dumbass doesn't realize there's a Do-Not-Call Registry for mobile phones and that sending out spam text messages like this is illegal. I doubt he gets a lot of business out of this little advertising scam of his, but he's going to need a lot of money for his lawyer fees when he gets sued for spam texting phones.

I received two unsolicited texts yesterday and when i turned on my telephone this morning I received any.I have not, will not be visiting this Club Ember- I called the first telephone on there web site and yes it is a recorded message but the second telephone telephone number is a live person named christian that picked up the telephone. I asked for the owner/manager and his name is Steve Elkins. His telephone number is 714 991-5101. Please all who have the time call and harass them as they are harassing us. I am calling my telephone carrier and the better business bureau . If it continues  i will be calling the telephone to file a report. Why do i register on the do not call list if no one follows the rules.

Just got the same message about 2 minutes ago... Really annoying, I don't know where he got my number from, but I do live in OC.

The exact message I got is:

Same message, received at 8:12am September 2, 2010. I don't feel comforted at all that my cell phone number is floating around out there.

I also received this stupid text message.  I've blocked the number, but I think this jerk should definitely be slapped with a law suit for ignoring the do not call registry.

I have also been getting these messages from this number. I wonder how they got my cell phone number in the first place, considering that I am on the national 'do not call' list. I'm not even 18 yet.

I just received a message from these clowns too.  I'm about to offer them a bottle of shut-the-f&#%-up.
