They just called me too. Didn't leave a message.

They called me while at work. Did not answer and they did not leave a message.

A call but no message.

Just got a call from them, I answered, but nobody said anything and the call was disconnected.  I waited a few minutes and called back with *67 before the number so that they wouldn't have record of my cell being an active number.  It went to a recording for home security.  Asked to press 2 if you want your number removed from their list, but in my opinion I think that just lets them know the number has a person and they can then sell my phone number as an "active phone number"

got an answer from this number addressing himself as Dan the Security Specialist, but then the call went dead.

OK, This is going to sound weird, but I've had calls from this number 3 times in the past 5 days. I've answered the last two, yesterday and today, and the same strange thing has happened both times. There are 3 beeps like those on a voicemail system, and then it's like it takes a picture of me. I'm not sure if that actually happens, but it makes the sound of a camera, my screen does something odd, and then goes dark. It happens quickly, so I haven't been able to see what the screen does (since I have the phone next to my ear), and when I move it to see, all I see is the screen going dark. It almost seems like it's controlling my camera on my phone. But there are no pictures on my phone to indicate that is what has happened. I have an iphone. Any ideas of what this could be? It's a little creepy.

There are so many hackers at this point anything goes.  Hopefully it was not an issue, but who knows.  Thank you for the information.

got several calls with security co.  one call answered and line was dead.    Must be a junk call.

They called at 8:50 AM PDT, 13 August 2013. It was from someone at "GE Home Security" offering me a free wireless home security system. The call was bizarre. I am not sure if it was entirely computerized or there was a person involved. There was a recorded voice that was loud, and another voice that may have been recorded or may have been a live person that was not as loud. I had the distinct feeling that it was a computer doing voice recognition responding to my questions, but it might have been a person interspersed with recordings. When it asked, "Do you own your own home" and I responded with "none of your business", it disconnected. I will report it to the government Do Not Call list, not that it will help much.

The call came from home security alarms.  We told them to not call us but they continue to do so.

Answered their call, definite scam.  I asked them where are you located, and it seemed they did not know how to respond, read Anon post above.  Most likely, they get your address and information to hook you in by offering a free security system, then need a deposit retainer for either goodwill/to pay for the travel and/or parts and materials, then they disappear.  BEWARE!

They called my cell phone at 12:15 PM PDT, 3 October 2013. (They called my home phone once before last August. See my Anon 13 Aug 2013 note below. The home and cell phones are in the same area code.)

I did not answer, and they did not leave a voice mail. I will report them to DoNotCall.gov, assuming it isn't shut down with the rest of the government.

Warning:
I am noticing an increasing number of "spam" phone calls with caller IDs in my local area code, or sometimes from a nearby area code. I think it is a new trick to get people to answer - if the area code is familiar, you may be tricked into answering the spam call.

Sure enough, the DoNotCall.gov website is shutdown.

Call recevied at work to confirm my subscription and the subsequent renewal for a magazine that I have not requested.

Got a call 2 times, just hang up. no message left. douched bag!!!

Calls constantly a few times per week, sometimes two to three times in a day. A few times they have left a voicemail that just has the caller hanging up however twice a full message has gone through to my voicemail with a recording that says "someone from our security team will be contact you when available" or something to that affect. Very, VERY annoying!

Called my phone at work in the 202.  No message.  A search shows this number is a landline in Placentia, CA provided by Pac-West Telecom (assuming the number isn't spoofed).
