Called about my daughters upcoming SAT's..  she's only in 9th grade

I got a call asking if I am the parent of (my son's name). When I said yes, the man said that my son had been at a college fair and had signed up as interested in SAT tutoring. First of all, he hasn't gone to any college fairs, as he is in 10th grade. When I said that, the guy hung up.

Trying to sell me PSAT software.  Accused me of being on medication.  Dirt bag.

Have seen this number a few times on my caller ID over the past week or so. I too have a son in 10th grade. I will keep on ignoring this call.

The display just says "Anaheim, CA" and then the number.

Unwanted Caller, How do I stop this harrassment?

Got another call from this number this morning. First time, it was a hang-up call. This time, a middle-aged man who knew my teenage son's name asked to speak with a parent. Man said he was from an educational testing service and that my son had indicated he was interested in improving his test scores.  Man then asked whether my son had access to a computer at home.  When I asked the man again what his name was, he hung up.

Received call today.  Although the caller was courteous, there was some pressure to "trial" the product.  I asked for a web site and said I'd discuss it with my son.  But, this "discounted" price was only good til the end of the week!  Careful.

Received a call from this number asking for the parents of my daughter. Says my daughter express an interest is a scholership for college. I asked where he got this information and that my daughter graduated for college two years ago.. He hanged up

Called.  Did not leave a message.

Got the same phone call as everyone else.  He knew my daughters name and when I asked him how he got that information, he hung up.

I just got a call from this number and my son is also a 10th grader. I do not answer phone calls that say unknown name, but no message was left.
Apparently targeting 10th graders. We need to get police involved.

I'm sick and home from school today. This number called and asked for the mom or dad of Lauren, and when I said they weren't home, he quickly hung up. Also, I'm only in ninth grade.

Same thing, the call about my daughters' meeting him at a college fair. She is only in 9th grade. Also, she goes to a private school. One wonders where this guy is getting the names and phone numbers. It is a little scary!

Got a call from this guy today asking if my parents were home, i said no and asked who was calling and he said that he'll call back later and hung up on me..im in 10th grade.

Yeah just got the call so I looked up the number on Google and this site. He asked for my daughter by name. Well he asked for the parents of my daughter and then he hung up on me. This makes me uncomfortable

This fool said he was from a college and wanted to enroll my niece in a program for that would cost 189$. When he was questioned on where he gained her information he said from her school.  When asked what school she went too he couldn't answer that question and quickly hung up.  I caution anyone getting a call from this number to NOT answer any questions and tell them they have the wrong number.  Contact your school and request they DO NOT release your child/rens information to anyone.  I do believe this is how this person is scamming people into giving credit card information over the phone.

Caller calls between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and hangs up but I appreciate the info. you've all provided. I too am the parent of a 15 year-old. We're not interested so if calls continue, I'll dig deeper and report the caller.  Troubling that they're targeting minors- especially teens! Could be a creeper.

My 10th grade daughter just registered to take the PSAT tests on collegeboard.com.  Interesting that these calls started just after this registration.
