Caller ID showed up this strange number I dind't know and didn't show a name just a letter A and the same phone number where the name should be, so I didn't answer!

I didn't answer either, but when I searched on it, I found the call came from Yorba Linda, CA

714-463-2940 Unknown, unsolicited call from this number, one of a string in recent days.

Call from Datascension, a survey-for-hire company.  When I asked to be removed, the woman rudely tried to hang up on me.  She apparently missed the button, because I remained on the line.  Then she hung up on me again

Just got the same phone call, I let the answering machine pick up but no message was left.

Received call from this number...checked by using *69...I did not answer.  Answered today...they hung up...same number  I am on the no call list!

Picked up the call and no one was there.  I too am on the Do Not Call List.  I usually answer to ask them to please take my number off their list.

i recieved a call with the letter Athen dogits which match what showed on caller id but no name from where,i  did not answer this call,and no message was left on the answering machine.

I received this call at 5:40pm today. I wasn't home and they didn't leave a message. Odd. I'd like to find out who they are.

They're apparently on some sort of 'calling spree' today. I got mine this morning at 9:45AM
while I was in the shower - same deal - machine picked up, no message...

this showed up on caller id yesterday and today, no msg was left, I blocked the ^&&*^% out of it with the comcast digital voice call screening feature (*60).

Caller ID showed A7144632940 same as other reports.  I did not answer and no message left.

I picked up this call. They asked if this was a business. I said no and she then started to tell me who she was.  Alot of background noise. I hung up on them

I received a call from this number at 4:32pm on 2/3/09. I answered and no one was there. The caller ID showed Yorba Linda CA. When you call the number back it says they are Datasention? Market Research
They want you to send an email to them to remove you from their listing.
I am also on the "Do not call" list.

3:35 pm MST machine answered. Message was dial tone. Datascension's home page says they are immune from do not call laws because they do market research. What? Somebody in the area please call the Orange County D.A.!

Received a call daily for the past three days from this number. I don't answer.

I received a call from this number and did not answer it either.  Where the name should be it had A7144632940.

They have called several days and never leave any message.  I have not been answering but will start answering and letting the phone off the hook until they hang up.  At least it slows down the number of calls they make in a day
