Left nasty voice mail (foreign accent) that I will be arrested if I don;t call back and pay some random $$.  SCAMMERS!

He told me I would be arrested sounds like a fat Mexican he don't even sound professional even his wording says "I'm at meetings with lawyers" first of all lawyers generally call themselves attorneys . This guy is a joke he's not even a good scam artist

Hahahaha! I got the same message, I called it back and left a message that I reported them to the States Attorney office, and if they call me again, I will have THEM arrested.

I too recieved the call and I'm glade I looked up the number cause something didnt seem right at all. What jerks. but the Sad thing is people do fall for it.

This person left me a nasty message stating that I would be arrested for a loan I never received. That they will come and get me at my place of businesses and mailing address if I don't pay.

It freaked me out because I'm already stressed out as is, and if this is indeed a scam I'll be pissed.

I received a call today from this number.  Since I don't accept calls from people I don' know, I let it go to VM.  Good thing because I have this man harassing me, telling me he was going to have me arrested if I didn't call him back.  So, since my cousin is the Deputy Sheriff of our county, I notified him.  Also, my best friend is an attorney of law, criminal law to be exact, so I reported it to her.  We'll see where this goes.

I,m an older man not in good health and when I got the call I would be arrested I got really stressed and after having open heart surgery I thought I was going to have a heart attack.  Could someone please put a stop to people like this man that called.  I would like to see him in the same condition that I'm.  But I guess people that just does not care for human life.

Your caller is a foreign extortionist scammer.  Just block the calls - they can't do zip to you.

Unfortunately, your callers are foreign extortionist scammers who do not care about breaking laws. Best thing you can do is block them.  Your phone may have a block feature on it; if it doesn't, you can Google call blockers - there are several good ones for $60 or less.  Or you could ask your telephone service provider to block the number(s) - however, phone companies do charge a monthly fee for this.  I'm sorry you've gotten so stressed out about this, but rest assured, your callers can do nothing to you.  Some more info:

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

At 7:40am, I received a call from this number but I  didn't answer. I checked the voice mail they left which is exactly how everyone else is describing it. A man with a heavy foreign accent said I would be arrested....see me at the courthouse...blah, blah, blah. Isn't this considered harassment? Maybe, but good luck getting anything made of it! It is so annoying getting these calls and I will definitely see if I have a blocking option on my phone, just so they can call me from a different line!

Same thing this morning. AT&T will block block up to 20 numbers. Just go online you can manage your account online, no charge.

Indian accent I think- threatening arrest, I called and asked for BAR number (it is a felony to impersonate an attorney) and the guy hung up.  Definitely an illegal scam.

I received a voicemail on my Google Voice phone # from these people threatening to arrest me.  They never stated the reason for their call, they just went straight into the threats which no reputable company would do.  I called them back and was hung up on.  I called again a total of 3 times and was hung up on each time.  The last time I called I spoke to a woman and was able to let her know that I know this is a scam and it would be in their best interest to stop leaving me threatening messages.  I have the day off from work with nothing else to do, so I've been redialing them back to back for the last hour.  The phone was ringing until the voicemail picked up.  Now my calls are going straight to voicemail.  If anyone ever picks up again, I'm going to continue my tirade and keep calling when they hang up on me.  They're messing with the wrong one.  Stop letting these foreign criminals intimidate you people.  FIGHT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received the same call from John Hill Law Firm stating I would be arrested at my home residence. Never said why they were calling or why I was being arrested but that I should call 714-509-5835 if I had any questions. Total Scam

I also just received a call saying I was going to be arrested at my workplace. For a second I was like "Oh [***] did i do something I don't know about?" but then figured that can't be legit. Glad I'm not the only one.
