called me on a wednesday said a warrant would be issued on friday , day after thanksgiving. upset me bad. said something about bad checks. checked with my bank, nothing wrong there. not sure whats up. will keep u in touch. caller said he was Mr. Ritchie, couldnt make out the origin of his voice, but foreign accent for sure.I reversed the phone number and it comes back to a church. I called my local police and the city where the call was placed. they all say i would get a notice first. today is thanksgiving, im a 14 yr army veteran, and am totally bummed out. will let u know tommorrow whats up

my father in law got a phone call saying that i needed to get in contact with ritchie by thursday because friday there would be a warrant out for my arrest. i typed in the phone number online and it connected to a church for weddings or some thing like that.

This phone number is a scam like the ones from Africa. 714 535-0640. This Mr. Ritchie person, is a scam artist that tries to get money from ignorant ppl and tells them lies about fraudulent checks or any type of scams. I had told this person that I am going to the OC Police Station to report him. He is a scam artist. He hung up on me when I told him I was going to report him! Please do not call this # he is scamming ppl for money. Don't tell him your name nor any info. I am reporting him to the police.

He called my aunt today saying my mom owed $6000 and was IN jail. People like this make me sick, they should be dealt with and put in jail.

This is actually not a scam. I went to visit Mr. Richie and he did show me a badge with my file. It was an actual case that I couldnt finish paying at one time for some merchandise that I purchased. Most people will try to say anything to make themselves seem as if they are right about something but if the truth be told, most of time it is for money that they owe and they are trying every avenue possible to not pay it. Bottom line i learned is if I owe something, I should pay it. If I can't pay it, the I should make arrangments to pay for it.

Many folks will benefit from your contact, even if your case proves to be legitimate, it's a felony to impersonate an officer.

Call came in through switchboard to our office.  When I answered with "Mr. Blank's office," whoever it was hung up.  It happens all the time.  Stupid people doing stupid things (because they apparently have nothing else to do) thinking that the rest of us are even more stupid.  And THAT, my friends, is what's really stupid.

I'm not too surprised to find that this "church" is implicated in another scam.  It seems to be a front for this and other types of shady operations:
