GCS ...couldn't understand?

Got a funky phone call from GCS 714-551-9581   I live on the Central Coast in Calif.
He said he met me at the grocery store. He got me to tell my name and my address and then I realized he was fishing.

Called but did not say anything when I answered....Finally hung up!!

Called the number back - they are an insurance marketing company - you can have your number put on the "do not call" list during the phone call.

What's the use in having a national do not call list if you have to tell every telemarketing caller to put you on THEIR DNC!  Who are these people so I can report them to the national DNC.

Mine said they where with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage when I anwsered but I'm sure this is a third party connected to WFHM. More than likely WFHM sold information to them or is partially owned by them so thats why they call even if your on the DNC, that is if you have or ever had a mortgage with WFHM. I like to anwser and let them do their 3 minute into and when they start to verify my info I simply say "no thanks" and then hang up. They waste my time so I will waste theirs.

Called me and did not say anything.

Said GCS on the caller ID. Did not answer it. Don't know what it was regarding.Did not let the machine pick up...won't give them the satisfaction. Just let it ring then unplugged the phone.

Also says GCS on caller ID - no msg left

Caller id says "gcs" and the number.  Glad for this forum; don't feel so alone; but won't give info out either.Thanks for your posts.

During last few days I got about 5 calls from the number 714-551-9581. After I answer, some automatic system starts saying "Press 1 for.....". If I hang up, they call back in few hours/days. Going to block the number.. would like to report them, I never asked them to call me, never had business with them... and my phone number is in the donotcall.gov registry.
Frustrating!

GCS calls approx 5-6 times a day! I let it go to my answering machine but it is SO annoying!!

I've had Multiple hang up calls from GCS, but I haven't been able to block them because they have used a different # each time, the list is below for the last 2wks only:

(when they called back again the next day, same #, the cid said GCS, see call on 9/16, 12:21p)

Like Tickolock I am also on the Central Coast in Calif.
Re: a Wells Fargo connection, I've never had any dealings/loans with WF.

As a rule I don't answer calls from people/numbers I don't know. Nice to get feedback on a site like this. I read here they may be linked to Wells Fargo but I don't have a Wells Fargo account so don't know why they are calling. They call 7vrl times a day and don't leave a message.

This number calls at least 4 times a day and do not leave a message.  I am on the DNC list and I would appreciate it if they would stop calling.

This phone number calls me at least 2-3 times a day!!!  It is getting way out of hand!!  Please report to the Better Business Bureau if you get them!!!

I have rec'd several calls from 71-551-9583.  I usually let the ans. svc. take care of it as they never leave a message.  Finally aggravated, I answered 2 of the calls & when I tell them my husband is not available, they hang up.  Rude besides.  I asked one of them if I could help & they said no, only the persons name who is on the account???  What account.  I finally used the option to put my number on the DNC even tho it is already on the National list.  

It will be appreciated if someone can put a halt to this matter?  Thanks, Lois
