Caller ID said Cell Phone, CA. I didn't even bother to answer it and let it go to my voicemail, they didn't leave a message. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize for this exact reason...I hate telemarketers, surveys, groups seeking donations etc etc etc.

got a phone call today at 7:18 eastern time from 714-607-6298 and caller ID said Anhaheim, CA.  
I know someone in Anaheim, CA so I answered and it was a recording trying to sell I believe home security systems, but after they got to homes being broken into every so many seconds I hung up.

This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

If you really want these calls to stop, as well as from hundreds of other numbers, please take a moment to report this call via an online complaint to regulators.

I am receiving calls from this number several times a day I am on a "DNCR" and yet the calls keep coming.

Please help this stop.

The people behind this scam and many others are criminals! Criminals do not care about you or the law. You will receive more and more calls from various numbers across the country. All the numbers are fake/spoofed.
They use computer auto dialers (VoIP) to call numbers, when you press a button, it fowards the call to a boiler room illegal operation, where the criminals who know what they are doing is unethical and wrong, try to steal personal information from you. Like full name, address, credit card and social.

NEVER EVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE! Repeat, repeat to others. You have that right. Expecially not to random callers and people who call you. Don't get dooped. If you have, contact the police immediately and your financial institution.

You will receive more calls. If the call is automated and they are trying to sell you something it is in violation of federal and state law. Telemarking calls are illegal if you are on the DNC list. Do not allow people access to your computer, do not allow random callers into your home, do not provide personal information over the phone. If the caller ID and call seems out of place, (unknown call, always out of area, always a robo call, telemarketing call of home security, lower interest rate, any type of offer, etc) ignore it and report it. Warn others.

Please report every call. Posting here helps, but as useless as you may feel about the DNC list, it actually works. Don't let the criminals win. Telemarketing scams are on the rise, they have increased ten-fold since 2009.

And they aren't calling from the number on your caller ID. They disguise the numbers to hide their true identity/location. They want you to act on impulse. They try to get as much information from you during that first call. All they want to do is steal! There is no company, there is no service provided, they won't fix your computer, lower your interest rate, provide home security, or offer any kind of service. The only service they will provide is theft and more calls.

Received call this morning at 11 AM about home security system. I immediately filed a complain with the FTC. However, I think the only way to do away with these unsolicited scammers calls is to do away with my home phone. Sorry Comcast and At&T.

Called and left no message on my answering machine.  I added the area code to my blocked caller list.

Do yourselves a favor folks and get a call blocker.  Sell a kidney and/or first-born if you must. :-)   I used money that I might have otherwise contributed to annoying political parties and charities.  After the constant calls, I decided to put the money to better use.  The resulting absence of annoying calls is worth it.

this number (with the same number in the "identification slot-company" has called me many times.  I assume it's a survey call or a telemarketer.  Am beginning to wonder what use it is to be on a "no call list". . . I think that I've received MORE UNWANTED CALLERS since I went on the list!!!!

Home security calls are common. I don't answer unfamilar numbers.

Home security sales.  Recording starts with a message that the "FBI" reports an alarming number of home breakins in my neighborhood.

Scammers, extortionists and thieves do not honor any DNC list, let alone the laws!  Honest business's do honor the dnc simply said!  Reporting them to the appropriate authority's is highly recommended regardless. It takes time to catch a thief though and doesn't happen overnight, and the same goes for those illegally operating telemarketers, scammers and extortionist.

You're right about the Digitone Call Blocker.  It's worth every penny and works flawlessly.  No more stupid calls.

ROBO SPAM CALLER.  Return call, Number is Out-Of-Service.  SCAMMER / FRAUDSTER

Received a call from this outfit; it's a home security company wanting to put a sign in the yard, yadda yadda etc.  Called them back and got a message stating press "1" if I want to be removed from their list.  Naturally I did.  However, reading the list of extensions these nuts have makes me believe I'll probably be doing this for a long while.  This is the 5th time I've "opted out" of such calls from home "security" firms (sigh!).
