these people have been calling for a year now, they are looking for the people who used to have this number. They aren't very bright.

My caller ID gave the number but listed the name as unavailable. The man who called asked for my husband. When I said he was not available, the man asked if I was Mrs ****. I said yes and he told me they were calling to see if they could help us lower our energy bill. I replied it was already pretty low as we have had solar panels on the roof for years. The nest thing I heard was that tone that sounds if the other party on the line has hung up. Obvy I was not a customer and he had no time to waste on me.
I don't do business with any one who calls me, ever. I have even canceled charge cards when they call me with special offers. I usually give them one chance if I have the card but on the second call I cancel. I have been on the do not call list since the it started and intend to follow up with the FCC. I always report telemarketers to the FCC. I figure if they are calling despite the Do not call list, they are probably crooks anyway.

Addendum in reference to the post I made just a few minutes ago.
Since the person hung up, I suppose this could have been some other type of call. I just assumed they were trying to sell me something.

Schmucks that call on a weekly basis trying to scam whoever picks up the phone. Trying to lower my energy bill. LOL Idiots

These folks are total morons. Calling with auto dialers all hours of the day and night. Whoever gets the pleasure of talking with me gets cussed out and hung up on. No way to stop them from calling. I have been on the do not call list now for years and when they call I'll file a complaint. Just another part of life, the attempt to scam the person that answers the phone.

My only question is, do they really think anybody will want to do business with them even if they are legit? LOL

Scammer operation based in Orange County trying to make a few bucks installing cheap (as in crappy)  energy-saving "improvements" i.e. vinyl windows, low-flow shower heads, CFL bulbs, etc.

they took a few weeks off and started calling my fax # again today.... No fax in the tray and it is on the DNC list as well.

Why are you calling me if I can't call you back?  Why is your number always busy?  Go away.

Caller ID says "Garden Grove CA"  Caller does not leave msg on the answering machine.

After the obvious delay from a telemarketing system, the called came on the line and identified himself as being from "Smart Energy".  Obviously, the word smart does not apply since they aren't smart enough to read the DNC list.

Same for me.  Call from "Garden Grove" and don't leave message. Am on the DNC list and still average 4 telemarketing calls daily for loan mods, bank products, political parties, home improvement.

Does the government prosecute these shameless and stupid telemarketers anymore?  This is one outfit that should be fined for every penny the government can get from them.

so much for DNC lists!!!  Landline and cell are (and have been always) on the DNC lists.  I don't answer if I don't know the caller, but it ticks me off when I have to stop what I'm doing to look at the callers number.  Debt collectors have also been calling for a "R....C...."  Looking for the same name all the time but from numbers in vastly different areas i.e. philly, chicago, n.y., miami, nevada....and on and on.

The caller said there's a government program to lower my energy bills.  I said I wasn't interested in any government programs.  He said it could lower my energy bills and he had two questions for me.  He asked how long I'd owned my home.  I said I wasn't interested in any government programs, I did not answer question number one and I didn't let him get to question number two.  I advised him I wasn't interested, that I was about to hang up and then I did so.  Caller ID said the call was from 'Garden Grove, CA'.

A call from a place called Smart Energy.  They call a gazillion times a day.  I told the guy no thanks, take me off the list and I'm on the the DNC registry.  Rude MOFO, hung up on me!  Because of this guy, even if I wanted to use this service, I won't.  Jerks!

This number calls many times a week, I have an answering system on my phone.  I want whoever is calling to stop now.

This is a repeated call from this outfit.  I never answer calls from unrecognized callers.  I screen my calls -- always.  They never leave a message.  I am on the DNC list for years but these jerks never bother to check the list and they call whoever they feel like calling.... get an answering machine and screen your incoming calls.  I already blocked calls from blocked caller IDs... simple solution.  Next step, blocking this number on my phone provider's website ... I have 30 numbers I can block....

The first call today was a live person... "Oh, I'm sorry... I have the wrong number."  I got a call from the same number 2 1/2 hours later on my second line (went to VM and no message).  Obviously just testing numbers.

I just got a call from this number, hello hello hello, no response I hung up.  I get this several times a week.  I am on the DNC list. Sick of It says What Good Is It!!
