Calls occasionally, never leaves message, always evidence of a scammer telemarketer. Blocked.

I blocked them. I always block numbers that aren't familiar, then come here to 800 notes, just in case it might be a friend of mine. My scam calls have almost disappeared since I started blocking them with a message that tells them to stop calling right when the CallClerk software shows the Caller ID.

Called yesterday and no information except that Google said the number was from a Moses Proa. Maybe just a wrong number? But now calls a SECOND day in a row with no message. That proves it's a SCAMMER! BLOCKED the a$$hole.

WHAT TO DO: IF you don't recognize the number, DO NOT let it go to Voicemail Then they KNOW yours is a LIVE number, which is all they need to SELL your number (and often you say your name) on a list. BEST thing to do is answer any number you don't recognize and BE SILENT, I put my phone on MUTE, and then on SPEAKER. Within 3 seconds, maybe 5 seconds, the robot-dial machine will read that as a dead end # and will NOT send it on for sale. If it's a person you know, they will say "hello" or you will hear background noise, or they'll call back.

Horrible how many of these new slimeballs call every. Day now. Go back under your rock. Blocked. Grrr

A call from this Anaheim landline number arrived today.  When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message, just dead space.  This is a favorite ploy of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) who troll the phone lines seeking gullible schmucks to rip off.  According to www.whitepages.com the phone is listed under a named subscriber and is classified as "scam or fraud."

DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM OF THESE TELECRIMINALS.  LET YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE TAKE THEIR PATHETIC CALLS.

Called again today. Supposedly fraternal order of police fundraising. BLOCKED.

Fraternal order of police is the name of the union representing the police across America. They were hacked by Anonymous a while back and found to be the MAIN REASON why the public does not trust police now. Contracts between police and city authorities, leaked after hackers breached the website of the country’s biggest law enforcement union, contain guarantees that disciplinary records and complaints made against officers are kept secret or even destroyed. The review also found that 30% of the leaked police contracts, which were struck between cities and police unions, included provisions barring public access to records of past civilian complaints, departmental investigations, and disciplinary actions.

Where did you get this interesting "information"?

Sure wish we could find out who is responsible or these Sunday morning 2/5/2017 9:34 AM calls. Caller ID reads V20512351400093 in place of name. I did not answer call and caller left no message.

Several posters identify the caller as a police union seeking donations.  According to www.whitepages.com the phone number is assigned to a specific named subscriber, and the website describes the number as "scam or fraud."

This number called TWICE this morning, after being blocked on 2-2-17 by me.
