ID'd as Westminster CA. Left no message. Spoofing a valid phone number and the real owner of this number is getting pissed due to people calling him back to find out who called. If anyone can get an idea of what the scammer is selling, please post the info here to make it easier to trace and bust them.

Hi.  I'm the guy with that work number and yes it's annoying.  My company is unwilling to investigate and told me to just change my phone number.  :(  If you have information about who is calling please leave it but otherwise I can't do anything about it.

Calls all the time and then hangs up. Noone on the other line.

This caller is getting to be a real pain in the ass! Calls all hours of the day early and late. Never answers and just hangs up. What's up with that?? Is there any way to find out who it is and take them out?

Can we all call Loretta Sanchez, our congress lady and ask her team investigate this entity? Loretta has been rather responsive to me on other issues. Maybe we can have some government intervention on something that REALLY bothers the citizens and not all the b s they send our way.

Brian, thanks for your post here; sorry about your predicament.  My parents' number also got spoofed to the point they were afraid to answer the phone.  I don't know how you could catch the creep doing this, but even though your phone company won't help, you can report this to the FCC & local police, & maybe try this sort of greeting on your ans. machine before picking up: "This number has been spoofed; If you have received a call from this number and do not recognize it, we regret your inconvenience, but we did not call you. Government agencies are aware of and trying to resolve this situation. Otherwise, please leave your name & number if you wish to speak to me and I will return your call."
    Yeah, I know this sounds simplistic or even corny, but this DID eventually work for my parents & the calls gradually stopped.  I'm sure this would make lots of folk calmer and see you've been honest and the victim here, so the calls to you might soon stop as well.  Good luck!

just received a call from a b****th that said her father is a licensed contractor.
Maybe his call is spoofed but maybe not the voice on the vm recorder sounds similar.
Next time they call I set up an appointment and the poor [***] that shows up

Call and hang up..  Variation on the caller ID theme, now it is just "CA"  Same BS different day.

Got a call from this number on a SUNDAY MORNING!  The guy said his name was Myles and he was calling from his dad's company which does home improvement projects.  They would be on our street to talk to anyone interested.  He claimed it wasn't a "sales call" - but what do you call it?!?!?!

Recd a call from this number by person who gave his name as Joseph Logan. Said he was calling to offer estimates on behalf of his father's small contracting business, Builder Specialists. Said his father can do any kind of home improvement projects from painting to building a house. Has been in business 17 years, operates from his home in Tarzana. Does work for cities as well as homeowners. What is the next project I am looking to do to improve my home? I asked him how and where he got my name and telephone number, he said it was in his dad's rolodex. He must have spoken to me sometiime in the past, Load of BS.  

Miles is calling from his dad's company. They are going to be on my street doing work. What can they do for us? Asked them to remove me from the list. He hung up on me.  

Caller was a woman who was asking to speak to the Mrs. of the house, I said she wasnt here, and shes replyed that she will call back later.

Received a p/c on 2-28-14 from this spoof number. .I never answer calls where my Caller ID  does  not have a name and if this name I do not know . Save a lot of problems if you do not  s/w with these people.

Sunday early afternoon, came in as just "CA".  Didn't answer, never do if I don't recognize.  Per the prior posts here I'm putting on my blacklist (which is getting quite long now).  I use Ooma, read that you can blacklist about 250 with this service so this one joins the crowd.  Thanks for your info.  Didn't know spoofing was so common.  Article in today's LA Times about hacking your refrigerator!  Nothing is safe!

This is a great company.  I like them so much I just made 2nd appointment with them in 2 weeks. I enjoy having the idiot drive to my home in rush hour traffic and then tell him in person to stop calling me before I send him back out into rush hour traffic.  They are slow learners.
