Called, then hung up when machine answered. Obvious sign of scammer, telemarketer and/or other criminal call. The idea that I, in Tennessee, would deal with a southern California "Service Call" is simply absurd.

They must have just got started with this spam #. Midway City CA is an unincorporated area in Orange county CA

This call comes in as "Service Call", and they never leave a message.  They are in California, and I am in Kentucky, so I have a feeling it's a telemarketer or something similar.

Call back gets phony sounding recording saying "it's likely you are calling back to receive more information or to ask us to refrain from calling you in the future, press (couldn't understand this part).."  I've had this number blocked from a while back but this is the first time in over a year that it's called again.  Doesn't matter..blocker forever!

Called with Caller ID name of "Outreach Communications".   Googled the number while it was still ringing, and just picked up and hung up.  No clue what they even would have said.

714-902-6495 called.  We answered and they never said anything so I just hung up.  It's listed on caller ID as OUTREACH COMM.  No idea who it is or why they keep calling.  We are on the Do Not Call list but that never seems to help.

My caller ID read "OUTREACH COMM" as well.   I disconnected call without answering and have blocked the number.

I find some of the remarks posted about these ‘faux telemarketer calls’ amusing.  I put together a software program that has logged over 380 of these nuisance calls since 2012.  Those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will get another of these calls.  Maybe not from the same number, but they’ve just identified your number as valid and passed it on.  Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ‘robocalls’) – once your number is identified as active, then a person may be there on the follow up calls.  If you have the capability to ‘block’ the number that called – that is the best action.  If you don’t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ‘talk’ and ‘off’ simultaneously.  This will reduce the number of nuisance calls, but not stop them.  If you really want to block them – there is software available that a layman can install.  Of the 380 calls I’ve blocked, only 16 have been in the last 6 months.  So the message is simple – blocking works….
PS:  I think Call Notes should add a 'Call Type' for 'Spoof' or 'Scammer Calls'!

I received a call from this number and it was listed as coming from Midway City California. They asked to speak with the man or woman of the house.

was asked my stance on abortion.  Advised I preferred not to talk with them.

Refused to tell me where she calling from!

Received a call from 714-902-6495 on 3/24/2015 at 8:25pm EDT. Caller ID displayed "OUTREACH COMM".  Did not answer and no message was left.

Based on the comments posted here I have added this number to my GV block list.
