I just got a summons to appear in court from these guys (CCS).  I received a call from them last week from this number.  Do I have to make the court appearance?

Received snotty vm from ccs addressing no one in particular and no id other than ccs. HAD to call by end of day. Called back and got a very pleasant lady who said she had no idea what I was referring to and it was an investment firm.

Received a call form 714-975-7622. Alexis Anderson, from the office of James Crenshaw left me a message that I needed to return her call by the end of business today or their decision in this matter would be final! She referenced the road I live on and said it was regarding this property that I reside at and own. (I rent) The Phone # to return her call was 714 415 3592. 714 415 3049 is another number she has called from. She was very forceful with her message, now that I have read all of their scare tactics I can't wait for her to call me back! Oh, let the fun begin,,,,,

Idiots called me on a cell phone number that I have had for over 13 years. They are looking for the Asian gentleman that had the number before me.
1. I in no way sound Asian.
2. Any bills that would be owed by that gentleman would be well beyond any limitations.
3. I am looking forward to filing a lawsuit against this company if they continue calling.

My daughter received a cell phone message from CCC 714 975 7638  for me to call them @ 714 975 7622. I called and was "greeted" by James Crenshaw. He was "calling" to warn me of a breach of contract lawsuit that various companies have been trying to contact me about for 6 years.I have lived here so I guess they didn't look very hard. He did not tell me who this lawsuit was from. He did not have the name of the road I lived on. He started yelling because I would not co operate (my daughter heard him half way across the room). When I asked him to quit yelling at me and he didn't stop I hung up.

Section 809 of the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf requires 3rd-party debt collectors to give debtors written notice of debt (the key word is *shall*) :
"§ 809. Validation of debts
(a) Within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector shall, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer a written notice containing—
(1) the amount of the debt;
(2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;
(3) a statement that unless the consumer, within thirty days after receipt of the notice, disputes the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed to be valid by the debt collector;
(4) a statement that if the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, the debt collector will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment against the consumer and a copy of such verification or judgment will be mailed to the consumer by the debt collector; and
(5) a statement that, upon the consumer’s written request within the thirty-day period, the debt collector will provide the consumer with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor."

My daughter answered i was not home asked her a lot of personal questions asked about my personal info. and was extremely rude ......

these people who ever they are are liars and crooks there numbers are bogus and its all strong arm tactics to collect debts from years ago it needs to stop now

Last two months I have received phone calls from 714-975-7622 and they do not state who they
are calling for.  Hi, Hi, Hi we have been trying to get ahold of you and you need to call back by end
of day!  I feel like changing my phone number from these people

These people have been calling almost weekly for about the last month and a half. the caller ID Phil Kantros. A couple of weeks ago they asked for someone I don't know, todeay they said they were with CCD & Associates

I also have been called by this number. They said it was CCS. They were looking for my husbands exwife. I told them they had the wrong number. They asked if I knew her, I said no. Then she asked how long have I had this number, I told her about 3/4 years. She asked me again if I knew her. I said I didnt have the slightest idea who she is. haha She sounded confused. This is like the 3rd time they have called looking for her. It pissed me off after the first time, and they just keep calling, so now I just play head games with them when they call. Next time I think I will tell them I do know her, and give them back their own number haha. Idiots.

I got a call from Alexis Anderson using 714-380-5383 as a phone number.
Seems very shady as far as the " call by end of day" BS.
No info left about the matter or details except call back or further legal Steps will be taken.

I've been receiving phone calls from all of the above numbers, most recently the number left on the voicemail was (714)380-5383 (the supposed office of Alexis Anderson). The last two times, the number appeared on my phone as 1(32). It's been happening for about 6 months. They call looking for Samantha Malone, whoever that is. They say it's "an urgent matter" and if I don't call back, charges will be pressed. I have only called back once (the first time I received the call), told them I was not Samantha Malone and have no idea who that is. They were pleasant, apologized me for my inconvenience, and said they would take my number off. Since then, I always let it go to voicemail.  However, they have continued to call, about 5 more times.
