They have called twice in 2 days, and have asked for my husband(by name). I told them that he wasn't here and "this is his wife, can I help you?". Yesterday's response was "No, we just wondered if [husband] was there, we'll try another time." Today's response was "Tell him this is Shane from Publishing". They refuse to talk to me at all. When I asked for them leave a message, they said they'll try back next week.

They claimed that they were calling from Publishing on behalf of my credit card provider.  That, for being such a good customer, that I was being sent bonus issues of magazines.  When I said that I don't have any subscriptions, I was told, "Oh, we're not selling you any magazines.  And it doesn't even matter whether or not you read them.  You are being sent bonus issues for being a good customer with your credit card company."

I asked, "So this is done through my credit card company?"  The response was yes.  I asked which one.  All that she could tell me was "Member Card Services Department."  And then she immediately wanted to verify my name and address.  When I interrupted her and repeated, "Which company?  Because if this was authorized by my company, all of that information would already be on file."  She repeated the Member Card Services Department and made it clear that she wasn't trying to sell me anything, that it was through my credit card provider.  That all I needed to do was to select the magazines I wanted and provide my credit card number.  Obviously, I told her to go pound sand, I wouldn't confirm any information, and not to send me a thing.

I had the same experience as Annapolitan, only the caller already had my correct name, address and phone number, which is a bit scary. She tried to use that information to convince me that they are a legitimate company, but I wasn't convinced.  I told her I wasn't interested and she said that the magazines are free, but that they still need my credit card number!  I said NO THANKS and hung up.

They have been calling for weeks here.  No one is usually on the other end, today some one was.  He said he had my name from member services on a credit card and that they were going to send 60 issues of a magazine. He asked which credit card I used and I told him cash, he argued for a long time that a must use a card.  Then he asked me what my job was and I told him a mother, he also argued about this and finally hung up.

They have called 3 times in the last week and ask for my husband by name.  Every other time I said he was at work and they said they would try back.  Today I asked if I could take a message and they said they were just calling to say thanks and would call back another time and hung up before I could ask any other questions.  I got curious so I went online and typed in the number and found this page.  Will be telling my husband not to talk with them when he comes home tonight and if i answer when they call back I won't be so nice!!

Got a call from All Star Public (on the caller ID)today. The guy asked if (my name) was home and I said yes this is him. He asked if my address is still the same (he read my address to me). And I said who is this? Then he proceeded to tell me that beacause I have done so well with the payments on one of my credit cards that the credit card company would like to thank me by sending me 60 free magazines. I told him I didn't want them and he said they are free and it doesn't matter if I read them or like them or want them, they (his company I guess)were told to send them so he just needs to verify my address. He asked if it is still my adress and like a dummy I hesitantly said "yeesss" and he immediately hung up. He never asked for any credit card numbers or info though. Does anyone out there think I should be concerned? Also I think it's probably "All Star Publications" trying to show up on the caller ID. I did a Google on it though and it doesn't exist or have a website. Superior, WI is where the number originates.

I just got a phone call on my cell phone from these people.  Now that really worries me, because that means they are really looking for people.  I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the number, so I too googled it and found this website.  I tried calling the number back right before I got on here and no one answered.  Is it really legal for them to call my cell phone?

Who is this number? They have called me every night at 7pm for the past 3 days. I tried calling it back twice the first night and no answer. Tonight I tried calling agian and it was busy. I waited and tried later, but no answer of course. They are calling my cell, we don't have a house phone.

I received the call from this number at about 5:45pm.  I didn't get to my phone in time to answer it.  An hour later another call came in.  This time the caller ID said UNKNOWN.  I answered it.  I was told that I was chosen to receive a free diamond watch.  I was also entered to win a cash prize of $25k.  AND, if that wasn't enough, I was being offered subscriptions of a few magazines at a huge discount.  When I told the, ebonicly accented, woman that I don't read magazines, she hung up.

    Wheres my diamond watch?

Hi, I gotten a called today at 7:00 from a guy name Kevin badge number 140 saying he was from Publishers Clearing House. He said that I had won 1,000 internet shopping spree and in 3 to 5 days I should be getting it and he wanted to confirm my address and telephone number. He asked where did me and my husband work and wanted to know what credit card I liked best. I never said anything so he said I was gonna get a few magz..for free and then he was sending some for 60 months and all I had to do was pay 3.33 a week for them. He said his supervisor would be calling me to check and see how well he had done because he was new so I hung up about 2 mins later. His supervisor called and said, "Hi, I am Kevin's supervisor. I wanted to confirm everything with you and what is your b-day?" I like a dummy told him that's all I gave him and then he said I need your credit card number today so I can start sending you your 60 magz..but first we just want to make sure you will pay so we need something on file and then we will send your 1,000 shopping spree." I told him no, I was not gonna give it to him. I don't trust stuff like that. He said all credit card have fraud protection. I told him to forget it and then he said I will do you like the rest turn you into collections. I said for what? He said for not paying for your magz..with your credit card. I told him that I was gonna call my lawyer. He laughed and said no attorney is a lawyer. I said I have a real one. I said I was not gonna give you my credit card number so you can go joy spend it and then I hung up...I called Publishers Clearing House and they made a report. Please everyone do the same. This is so sad because just think of the people that are giving them the credit information. These animals need to be stopped..

I received a call from this number and the guy said he was from publisher clearing house and I had won $1000 for an online shopping spree for clothing, electronics, home decor ect. and I would receive a letter in the mail in 3 to 5 working days with more information.  I didn't have to tell him anything about myself or my  credit card info.  I wonder if it is a scam.
