call came in today at 12:22pm.
City: Waupaca
State: WI

I called them back.  Independent Marketing Solutions  answered the phone (automated system).  They claim to be employed by charitable organizations.

5pm this # appeared on caller id. i am on national do not call list, so why did this # get through?

Received call from this number at 1100 hrs. 10/22/08. No message.

Call came from Waupaca, Wisconsin at 1746 hours on 11-10-08. Not answered and no message left. Other sites advise that this is Independent Marketing Solutions. Another loser, junk 'em

Missed the call, phone number was on caller ID.  Whoever it was didn't even have the nerve to leave a message.  Have now blocked all calls from this number.

Person calling tried to say they were the veteran's administration.  My son got on the phone and the person hung up.

Next time some one want's to fraud the elderly or disabled, they better hope the person monitoring the calls are not the police.

Said they were calling for "Vets Now"  Truly a Wisconsin accent...I said where r u calling from?  He answered um...Wisconsin...freezing our [***] off here too!  We do this to save $$...about 9 of us!  I told him I had no $$;  oh ok..well, maybe next year then!

someone claiming to be joe ?.  said he represented firemens emergency fund.  a solicitor.  I hung up on him.

Calls all the time, asking for donations to help disabled elderly. As soon as my husband gets on the phone, they hang up.

Our local(Boise, Idaho) Fire Dept. must hire an out of state(Waupaca, Wisconsin) company to solicit money.

If I am on a national do not call list why do they still call?


There is nothing you can tell them that keeps them from calling back over & over.

I Live in Nebr. I got a call from this # they asked for me by my first name.  Another family member answered the phone said I was not there when asked to take a message they said they would call back later. I will not call !!!  To leery with phone scams

I don't answer and they never leave a message.  I've had several from
different area codes in the last 6 months.

Got a call from this number, and there was a pause and then a hangup on the message.

A man named JOhn called and said he was with the Fireman's Benefit fund. I am a fireman and when her heard that he then said he was with the Veterans administration. I told him I had been in the Marines and was a vet, he prompltly hung up.

These guys are running a scam and ignoring the no call list

Nice male voice, called me Mrs. _____(my initials only in phone listing) said he was calling for "American Veterans Association". No such entity, Sparky....
I told him I donated locally and ask that he remove me from their call list. He ended call with a thank you.

Call from 1-715-942-1240 and asked for me by name.  My husband said I was not home and he said he would call back.  We also are on the no call list and in Nebraska.

I will not answer if they can't give company name and do not recognize the number.  Keep a record of all unsolicited calls and report to donotcall
