Kimberly Brown calling from Bank of America they have a check for me I will need to call them at 716-200-1267 x406.  I don't have any dealings with B of A anymore I think this is a scam.  Has anyone else received calls like this from this Kimberly Brown?

I received a call from "John Miller," supposedly from Bank of America regarding a certified check. John's very American name was accompanied by a very thick Indian accent so I didn't catch the message. I called BOA and they indicated this is probably a phishing scam. I did not return "John's" call and I would advise anyone who gets a call from this number to ignore it.

I receceived a call from John Miller on Friday using only my first name (pronounced incorrectly) and returned the call. I was told to call that number back on Monday because Mr Miller was gone for the day.  I was a little puzzled because I never applied for any account with Bank of America, but curiousity got a hold of me so I patiently waited until Monday.
My phone call was answered by a man saying "Banks of Americas" and he wanted my last name. So I politely said if Mr Miller knew better to address me by my last name I will give it. So the he told me to hold on for Lisa Hernandez one of the many"phone operators".  Well, "Lisa" went through the formalities asking my first name which trying not to laugh I pronounced it just as John Miller did on Friday. Then "she" said there are many persons with that first name.
So I said Lisa you sound oddly like the guy that answered the phone and that guy sounded like the "John Miller" from Friday.... the line went dead......Scam, Scam, Scam

As of last week the person using this number is now Roy Washington from the "I.R.S." who will tell you you've won $350,000 and all you have to do to collect is pay the taxes. Yeah, right. Don't give any one using this phone number ANY information except directions straight to Hell.

The message left for me was from Masad Slick of Publishers Clearinghouse.  They had deposited a check with B of A and to call the number ad give them the verification code 407A504.  This is the third time they have called.  His Nigerian accent sounded so slimy.  I wouldn't buy a dog collar from this guy!  The first time he called he was a B of A employee.  Reverse phone look up says it's a land line out of Buffalo, NY

Call from "John Miller" claiming to be from Bank of America.  When I call this number someone named "Roger" picks up.  Same person picks up no matter what time you call.  This is definitely a scam.

I received an automated recorded message call from someone identifying themselves as an IRS agent with the first name of "Eric." The message was from someone with a thick accent that sounded like they were from India, and very hard to understand. They said the matter was urgent and I had to call them back at the number provided, and they wished me luck if I didn't call them back. Pretty fishy to me! Sounds like yet another scammer, they provided no way to opt out, and I'm on the "Do Not Call List." Obviously, I'm NOT calling them back!

    Mrs.
Poor/broken English thick accent. The following is the message he left on my mobile: "The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is Officer Eric Foster, an hotline to my division is, 716-200-1267, I repeat, 716-200-1267. Now don't try to disregard this message to return this call, if you dont return the call and if I don't hear from your attorney either, the only thing I can do is I wish you a good luck. As situation badly en-falls on you. So give me a call back as soon as you get this message. Thank you."

Never says what it is about. Never says what state, division or precinct.

Got the same  "IRS clamity".  Normally the IRS sends you a letter first with a 1-800 number.

However FIGHT BACK. Use an FCC complaint form . I am a gov't employee and do not wish to be disturbed
    http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
Based on the category of call, you can file a complaint. FCC uses telecommunication logs to track sources ,  stop, AND  issue fines.

I received a call from this number this morning which left me a voicemail. He proclaimed himself to be Officer Eric Foster (with a thick accent), "do not try to disregard this call, or if I don't hear from your lawyer either in this situation, I wish you luck. As this situation badly unfolds on you."
