- James| 4 repliesSeems to be a recording. The person identifies himself as "Officer Jeff Foster" and states that unless he hears from myself or my lawyer in X number of days, he is going to pursue criminal charges against me. Called the number back, and spoke to this person. He states he is a police detective, but refuses to state what department he works for. He tells me I need to wire money to his office, in order for legal action not to be taken against me. During the brief conversation, the amount of money he wanted me to send changed from $500 to $750 to $1200. I told him I was going to contact the police, and he became very angry. He began screaming at me that " he was the f---ing police" and he was going to have my "mother f---ing a$$ locked up". I laughed at him and hung up. He immediately called back two times, using very vulgar language, and I hung up on him again.
- Daniel replies to JamesSame here. Said IRS sent multiple letters to my house but would not release dates or my address to which they were sent. Said I couldn't hang up or mute the phone call or police would be dispatched to my phones current location. Wanted me to wire money via green dot money pack cards. Really?!! Its 2pm, im sure there is a office open. Then I argued and he said he hope I enjoy jail. I tokd him im meet him there.
- Joe| 2 repliesSame here too only I would never call and automated message back .

I just feel bad for the people he bullies to steal their money.

- V.M replies to Joe| 1 replyMy husband just received this same call, threating legal action. My husband is a Saint so we know this couldn't be true...he called me and asked what he should do. I just found this post while I was on the phone with him. Thanks for the heads up!

- P.G.S.Just received a message from this idiot. I can't tell u how many calls, emails, FB message etc. I get from scam scum like this on a weekly basis. I like to play with them. I got one FB that posed as one of my FB friends I haven't talked to in awhile saying he was In trouble and needed me to wire him money. I knew it was a scam because the person in question is extremely well off and would never ask me who is unemployed at the moment and quite sick to send him money. My husband and him speak often and he knows that my husband works two jobs while I'm out of work. So not likely he would ask us for help. But of course I played along. Told him of course I would go to Walmart and get a money order no problem. He kept messaging every few minutes to see if I sent the money. I kept him going for a good 4 or 5 hrs. It's 4 or 5 hrs that he wasn't stealing for some poor elderly person with no money. Then I told him he'd been reported and the FBI had been tracking him the whole length of our conversation. Needless to say he freaked. I hope he ran back to whatever 3rd world Ebola ridden country he was from. Now I'm going to call this one back a start the process again. Lol.....keep calling scum. I love it!
- P.G.S. replies to V.MAlways look up a number you don't recognize. My mother got a call one time from a person claiming to be from Microsoft telling her that her computer had a virus. She was on the phone with them when I came over and they were about to sweep her computer for bank information. Thankfully I worked with computers and had knowledge of this scam and had her disconnect before anything significant happened. They called back to see what happened and I told them off good and reported them. Microsoft will never call u about anything.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. - KimBHe has called me twice today leaving very nasty messages. Now that I see this maybe I will send him some nasty text messages or answer and freak HIM out. Nah... I'll just keep ignoring him. It's fun to think about though.
- JohnnaWI have received 2 calls today from this number. Since I didn't recognize the number I sent it to voicemail. The person didn't give a name or company, just left messages that if I don't call back immediately that he would have to pursue the issue (didn't say what the issue was). Made it sound very threatening. Needless to say that I am not calling him back.
- bryan accardiThis dude is calling me and lying about who he is.

- BobThis clown called twice today. Sounds like he has a Middle Eastern accent and his outgoing message is a recording. The dead giveaway that it's a scam and a fraud is that he identifies himself as "Officer." If he was for real, he'd identify himself as Agent or Special Agent and he wouldn't be threatening. I told him what he could do to himself.

- SassyThis fool called me twice and left a message talking about he was going to press criminal charges if I did not contact him. I called him back, gave him a fake name and he asked for my number. I asked him why he would need my number if I give him my name, to look in his system on why he needed to talk to me (the fake name). So I asked him, "so where are you calling from today, IRS, Tax company, police station, what is it today? Or did you forget who you said you were?" He hangs up. I called him back. Then he asks me for a date, wtf..foolish. So then he starts telling me that I would be sorry if I knew who he was. I suggested he come with something big to lie about. So I told him that I was the IRS and that he owed me money. He then said, "are you (such an such)?" I told him no but that he could still talk to me. He told me that he was sorry and that it was a mistake. I told him no, the jokes on him today so lets continue talking and he hangs up. lol.....

- KimSame thing as the first comment ... guy said his name was "officer Jeff" and If i didn't call him back he "wishes me and my attorney the best of luck as bad things are upon me" .... he has some kind of accent not sure if its middle eastern or maybe russian... I knew it was a scam tho because the call came in from my google voice account instead of directly to my phone number.
- Caller: Officer Jeff
- jagkI got a call, didn't recognize the number, let it go to VM. when I listened to his message I could hardly make out what he was ranting about...only could make out some vauge threats regarding legal action if I didn't return call back.

- ChristinaI received this call this morning, I have my phone sleep mode so I didn't hear the ring. I saw that I had a voicemail, the first thing I noticed was that it was a New York number. I live in Arizona and do not know of anyone with a New York number. I normally don't answer calls that I do not have saved in my contacts. I looked up the number and came across all these comments, so I'm glad I didn't answer.
