- justsayin3 Rings then hung up. I think it is more spam calling 7162196824 caller ID said Youngstown, NY and nothing else......
............Now, we will never know where this spam originates from, really, so absurd.- Caller: nothing
- CarolSWe live in TX so when it said LOCAL with a 716 number, I knew someone was LYING !!! Really irritating that we pay for this phone line and can't control these nonsense calls. I get so tired of the phone ringing with all these "fake/hidden" agendas when we did not solicit their calls. I think we should get discounts for every call that comes through that are nuisance calls and being on the DNC list accomplishes nothing because too many telemarketers are allowed to hide behind fake numbers that you can't even call back.
- Caller: LOCAL but over 1000 miles away

- sassmacfru replies to DeeDeeIt depends on your phone and phone company. If you have a landline phone look in your phone book for directions on how to block numbers or call your customer service. If you have a new cordless phone, it might have that feature built in like mine does. Now if you have a cell phone ( android) then I recommend downloading Mr Number app. It does a really good job of blocking unwanted calls and texts. Iphone have that already built in.
- Dave| 1 replyJust called and left no message. The Do Not Call List is just a BIG WASTE of Taxpayer money !
- Hates Telemarketers replies to DaveSince you have no idea what the DNC list is all about or that it is constantly working, you have no business complaining.
Honest businesses are abiding by the DNC list. We haven't received an (illegal) call from a legal company in over 8 years.
The call that we do receive are scams like this. They are illegal calls for illegal companies (or at least illegal sources). Crools do not obey the law. That's what makes then crooks.
What is not working is the current majority currently in the U.S. House of Representatives. If they were not so engrossed in getting elected, they could pass laws with severe penalties for the calls, and finance the tracking and prosecution of the illegal callers. - Enemy of TyrannyCaller ID said 'LOCAL' but I could see by the number it wasn't. Didn't answer, but they left a recorded message claiming my doctor had referred me tp them ( I know that's BS), as I'm a senior citizen...LOL...I'm 52 yrs. Some scam about medical equipment. Blocked the number!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- BearsdenLeft message that I was eligible for a free medical alert system for senior citizens over 65 and that I had been referred by my doctor. Bull****! Also said that I would receive $3000 worth of grocery discounts.
- Caller: Local
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnonymouseGetting calls from Indians from this number. I don't know what they want and i don't care.
- AnonymouseI am on the do not call list. Also the don't give me preapproved credit offers list.
- The MinisterGot the same, "you doctor has selected you to receive a medical alert system via AARP, and the $3,000 in grocery coupons, blah...blah...blah" the call came in on a 7/11/2014 (Friday night @ 8 pm). It did say "Local" but since we have only a few area codes in Louisiana, 716 is not one of them! Also, I'm not a senior citizen (41 yr old) & my doctor would NEVER release my info for a "prescription medical alert service". When it asked to press such and such number to accept offer or press such and such to "decline this prescribed service from your physician" I just held the line open, as if they got an answering machine or possible business after hours.
