Yeah, these people called( Announce themselves muffled) and said that they received a petition against me. They said call Jennifer Richards at 716-256-1923. I called these crooks and they said that I had some debt. I told them I haven't had a credit card in 10 or 15 years. They then told me it was from back then. I hung up. They then called my family and threatened that they were going to take legal action against me.

Couldn't make out most of the call although I listened 3 times.  716-256-1923.   What came through was Jennifer Richards - petition - serious matter - legal matter, etc.  Bogus.  Threatening.

This number called my uncle! and said I listed him as a contact...funny...I have NEVER listed him and his cell number is unlisted. This number is calling me and saying something about a legal matter and I am petitioned by their client that has retained them...funny....I don't own a credit card either & my number is unlisted. Getting really annoyed. I will call my REAL LAWYER and draw a lawsuit against this person contacting and harassing my family & myself.

Received a call at 10:14 AM EST on 23 May 2014, insistant that I settle out with Credit One Bank, which I have never dealt with, before submitting for legal action in court. She knew my name and listed my last 4 (incorrectly). I tried to tell her she had the wrong person, asked if I had a son, and became very rude at that point. She said "she'll would take care of it", and cut off any question or statement I attempted to make to clarify the situation. She also insisted she spoke with me on 14 May 2014 about it. ( I checked my phone, I did have a missed call from the same number on 14 May 2014, at 3:05PM). If this is a collection agency, they should thoroughly validate who they are calling before assuming they have the right person, however this very well could have been a phishing attempt, to get me to submit personal information and bank information to pay off a charge that doesn't really exist.

I've gotten lots of calls over the last 9 months from 216-256-1923.  I usually can't get to my cell phone in time so I've never been able to answer the call.  Good thing just looks like a scam.  Thank goodness we can check on these numbers. My recommendation is to ignore it.  

Some girl giving the name of Jennifer from ARS played phone tag with me.  After we finally connected she said there was a claim against me and she couldn't bring up my claim so she wanted my name and social security number.  She pretended to be nice and understanding, but after questioning her about why she was calling, she just repeated over and over that there is a claim against me and she can't bring up the claim and tell me what it is about unless I give her information.  Don't be fooled by these crooks!!!  If she can't bring up a claim, then how would she know who to call?  And if she called my number, why would she need to know my name.  She should have had that information before she called.  This is a scam to make you feel like there is a problem with your credit and they use fear and threats to try to intimidate you into giving them information so that they can steal your identity.  Don't be fooled!!  Report these thieves.  We need to put an end to this once and for all!!

A person named Jennifer Richards called my moms number asking for me. She identified herself as law office files company. My mom gave me the information to me to call them back. So i did call 716-256-1923. A girl named herself as Jennifer Richards told me  that a creditor that she  was not authorized to tell me who it is and wanted me to make payment arrangements with them  or i was facing legal action against me. I panicked and gave her my debit card number and they have been robbing money from me until i realized they are crooks because they have not send me any balances nor paper work by mail. My bank rep helped me fix them and will refund my money back and is going to dispute and take  legal action against  Atlantic Recovery Solutions. These crooks are going to pay.

Sorry you fell for the scam, but glad you might be getting at least some of your money back.

A man keeps calling our business looking for someone that doesn't work here.  He calls at least 3 times a day.  It's crap!  

I got a call from this man he stated I owed a debt I did not think I did he sent me a validation of debt letter. I ran my credit realized I paid a different one. He was very polite and helped me through this ordeal. I hope he helps the rest of you now this matter is updated on my credit report as paid in full.   Good Luck

Um ... the only entity that can change your report in such a fashion is the ORIGINAL creditor, and that is usually done only if the debt is paid on time.
A collector cannot change your credit report in such a fashion, if they are not the ORIGINAL creditor!

However, when a debt is sold, it appears on your credit report every time it is sold.  The collector may be able to change THEIR entry, but may not be able to change the ORIGINAL entry!

Thanks for the information. They are even licensed in my State, which is Washington, which is required of collection agencies here. Will be fling an AG complaint against them.
