- Bob replies to DeeSame thing. Caller claimed he was IRS..threatening tone, i didn't bother to call back. Obviously some sort of scam!
- kim| 1 replySame here...thing is, we have a tax bill, and are in the process of working out payment options..the first time they called, it was a woman "Debbie", with a very heavy Indian accent.....it really did scare me...but was told it was a scam.....now I have "Adam calling...unbelievable....Did anyone report this to the IRS? I heard they are targeting a lot of people, and being very vicious. It's kind of laughable to me now, but I was really scared the first time.....lol
- DaveJust received a call and VM from this very number, same message as above. Just to be clear, the IRS never contacts anyone by phone unless you are actively working on a matter with them. This is a typical scam....and IRS agents are never "officer".
