Got a call from 716-335-9427 saying they are Cohn and Gilmore LLC.  Looked up on internet and could only come up with an address in Lockport NY.  Looked it up on Google Maps and it is a run down house.

I just got a call from this number as well stating my file was in review. First of all I live in texas why call from NY. There is no website and the address is to a run down house.

My mother bought my phone three months before Christmas and had it activated, and absolutely no calls came through. Then I started using it on Christmas day and ever since then I've been receiving calls from this number saying that my file was in review and stuff about credit cards and credit accounts, of which I have NONE. I live in Washington, and this call is from New York. Why are keep calling me and what do they want with me or whoever they think I am is beyond me.

Called mid afternoon.  Message about my file in review gave a number to return call and a file number.  I don't think so in my lifetime.

Same time of scam artist.  Refers to wanting a call back pertaining to my bank account with a file number.  Ominous message.  Hope the FCC can call HIM.

It is a collection agency.

Called my office and left a message with our receptionist saying it was Kevin Burke from the "law Offices" of Cohn & Gilmore". I found this very odd as I have a direct line to my desk with voice mial and no one ever calls the receptionist. So this had to be someone who knew where I worked but not my office phone number and looked up the main number.  Anyway I did same and looked this "law firm" up on internet before calling back as the whole way they went through to contact me was fishy.
Even my creditors have my office phone when they ask for my work # and call and can leave messages on my voicemail.

I think I may return the call or else wait to see if another call comes through.
Not happy that my receptionist got a message like this for me.

Got a call from this number and it said something about taking action on my ss,#. I did not call back and have no idea who this is.

Many many calls from this number, stating they have my social security # and other documents and that I should get legal counsel and call them back. I have no idea but am tired of the harassment!

I have been getting calls from some one saying this a law firm, Cohn and Gilmore stating that I owe money to a loan co. and that if I don't pay they will take me to court. Their phone number is 855-228 7515. Received an email from them also. At the bottom of the email it states that federal law requires we notify you that this communication is from a debt collector in an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. Kind of fishy

I just received a call from them and cant find them on the internet as well ......Is this a scam?

I have gotten messages from them as well. If you look up their name it will give you an address to a run down house. Also, he says he is going to serve a summons. I looked up my name on our state courts site and there was nothing there. If I owe someone I will pay them not a debt collector.

I just received a voicemail from a female that was representing Cohn and Gilmore.  She claimed it was regarding my bank account and stated that it was of upmost urgency that I return her call because my "File" ??? was in review and that it was in my best interest to return the call immediately. However, the message, which had a prerecorded name, was not for me or anyone I know??? I ended up here because I searched the firm name of Cohn and Gilmore. I'm going to contact the local, CA State, and Federal authorities in the morning and will keep you fine folks posted with my findings.....sounds like a scam though!!!
