It's a debt collection company. They are looking for a person with my name. But I never had any business with the company they claim I have a debt with. They call constantly, even after 9 pm.

Called in regards to an important business matter, I have no idea who they are or what they want...message was harsh ....

Called with grim message about important business matter.  Message was more than harsh, it was rude!  Early, late, weekends... they call it all!

These people called for a someone with a similar name to ours.  We told them they do not live here and please stop calling us.  The [***] said "no that's ok, this is the number we were given so we will keep calling" and then hung up.

they called left a message...'this message is for-----,if you are not -----, do not listen to this message.  If you are -----, we are attempting to collect a debt that you owe'.....it goes on and on.  I thought they can't leave a message like this saying details about debt.  I don't even owe a debt to them!!!

Called my cell phone asking for my mother. Left a case number and said they are trying to collect a debt from my mom. Why they would call my cell and not my mom's or her cell seemed strange to me. Same time everyday they call.

Called once and asked for someone with same last name, threatened me when I told him that they're not here. Called back immediately after I terminated call and yelled at me. Refused to give me any info other than the person they were looking for owed them a lot of money and told me to make sure I gave them that message.

I don't answer calls I don't know.  This number has been calling and calling and calling, and won't leave a message.  Finally I answered today and they asked for someone with a similar name to mine, don't know if they TOTALLY got my name wrong or something, but I said that have the wrong number, and they said "This is the number we have on file, if your'e lying about who you are, we will find out." and hung up on me! Isnt there something against these kind of calls? Debt owed or not?

Some Katrina - With ASG it important u call us back. No idea who these people are. I just got this cell phone after returning from military duty. These people are over doing it and some one needs to stop their unfair practices

They call at all hours leaving nasty messages, and threatened my husband if he didn't give them our checking account number so they could collect their $$.  No idea who or why they are calling but i sure am tired of it!

call looking for my mother who hadn't lived at that address in over 12 yrs and said my number was a contact. my mom can hardly remember her own number let alone mine. he said he was from some company name first source.

These people never quit.  They have called both my cell phone and land phone up to six times a day.  Last message was threatening.  "Failure to return this call will result in a drastic change in the direction of this matter"

Don't ever give them any account information or other telephone numbers.
They are operating on the edge if not over the line.

I assume their threats will become more ominous.  Next they're probably going to mention they love baseball and have a number of baseball bats.

caller id shows out of area...i did not answer.  based upon what everyone is saying here, it is probabley a medical collector.

They called this morning looking for my brother for a "personal business matter".  I told them they had the wrong number.  He asked for the number and I said "no", we went round and round with a bunch of BS saying my brother gave him this number etc I told him he was incorrect.  I also found out he said he was from First Source which is obviously a lie. That is against the law.  I hung up but I am ready for them if they call again.

Woman was a JERK!!!  called and asked for my father who does not and has never lived in my house.  When I questioned who she was and what company she was with she was beyond rude!  Come to find out they had called my mother's cell phone just prior to calling my number!  And they told my mother they were a different company looking for money my father does not owe them!  My father called the number back and they told him they were capitol one, he hung up and called the capitol one number only to confirm that it was NOT them that had just called and his account is up to date!

The same thing is happening to us.  They keep calling for someone with the same first name as my wife and a last name that begins with the same first letter as ours, but that's it.  Stern, rude, warning calls.  And they refuse to stop.

got a call from a number i didn't know so i didn't answer it, but no message was left. So i called it back and when someone answerd it whom i didn't know i hung up. they then called me back and left me some nasty message about a personal matter, but i think i fixed them.....i told them i was disconnecting the call to contact my lawyer, because they do not do this legaly, and or fair...and havn't heard back from them

They call repeatedly at my work, even though they were told NOT to call at work! called my residence at 8:30 on saturday morning, and yelled at me. when i refused to give them money, patty put some man on the phone (said hai name was john), who then not only screamed at me, told me I better change my attitude, told me to "shut my trap" then proceeded to threaten me"you better have a cup of hot coffee ready tomorrow at 8:00am, cause your gonna need it"(this said in a VERY threatening tone! a checked my caller ID and called back asking to speak to a supervisor. I was rerouted to a "mr.something or other" who I reported the threats and harassment at work (they cannot call your work if told not to), he said he would investigate the threats, and told me i needed to settle the debt. I again refused so he put me on hold and connected me right back to john (this time he called homself jack)I "reported john's threatening behavior, and he just laughed at me and told me it was him who threated me. started verbally abusing me, and I told him to stop threatening me. he yelled at me "I haven't even threatened you yet, do you wanna hear a threat?" i yelled back at him to PLEASE< PLEASE,PLEASE threaten me again, and make sure he recorded it because I was certainly recording the entire conversation. John/Jack asked me who gave me permission to record this conversation, then immediately backed off saying I would never hear from them again because they were going to charge my debt off to another collection agency, but that other agencies were more threatening. I asked if that was yet another threat and he hung up on me. Isn't there laws to protect people from this harrassment?
