Trying to speak to and collect from a man named Tom with same last name who's not at this address or number. They will not believe me and will not give up. I have to take the phone off the hook missing other important phone calls and I'm constantly stressed out.

I have been having the same problem, is there anything that can be done to get them to stop?  Is there anything that can be done legally, such as harassment or something?

Absolutely!

Send them this "Drop Dead" letter VIA certified mail and request a return receipt. If they continue calling after you have written proof they have received it, they can face fines for violation of Section 805 of the FDCPA of up to $1,000 PER violation.

Don't even answer the phone for these guys. Bad news. Not legit. Scam. You'll be sorry if you give them any info at all. Avoid at all costs. Good luck!

These people have constantly contacted me about a credit card debt that i cant recall EVER having.When i tell them that ive never had a credit card with the company they refer to,they get nasty.The last time i had credit cards was in the mid to late 1990's.If i did have this credit card and have forgotten about it, whats the staute of limitation on a personal credit card? If i did have this so called debt,its got to be atleast 15 years old!!! Any advice??Help!!
