Caller ID unknown, but it is apparently a collection agency.
They have been calling and leaving messages since April.  They called prior to that and I did speak to them telling them they have the wrong
    household.
Yesterday they threatened with an arrest warrant if I did not call back in 24 hours.  I have reported them to my local law enforcement.
The officer told me they would contact them if the calls persisted.
I refuse to dignify their calls any further after I have made it clear they are calling the wrong person.
These outfits verge on the criminal element and will try and frighten people into calling them and trying to collect money you don't owe, according to the officer with whom I spoke.
They are apparently based somewhere in the area of Buffalo, New York.

The poster previous to mine is, Angela Santiago, is the person who calls from this number.  She posted this minutes after I got off the phone with her.  I told her I googled this number and that she was a fraud, and she posted that!  She gave me the "visa number" that she had that was supposidly in my name and said "If you are so good with the computer why don't you look up your credit with this credit card."  Well, thank you, I did and I've never had an account with Visa Providian, like what she said I was deliquent on.  She also said they were contacting the police station to serve me.  After I contacted her a final time, I contacted my local police station.  They said this was definately a fraud and DO NOT give them ANY information!!!  Beware of this number!!!!!!

First of all after a fellow co worker spoke with the above person this site was never brought up. At that level that employee cannot access the internet unless it is work related. Which Google is not! Also its a shame that we try to help people in bad financial situations and our name and our companies name is stumped on. I strongly suggest that anyone who access this site find out the truth. If you have had debt in the pass its not our fault all we do is try to help people out of it. No threat of being arrested or going to jail have EVER been made. We are able to help only those who wants help and the people who cant afford to be helped put negative comments on here. The company is 100% legit and I have worked here for eight years and my desk is filled with THANK YOU cards. So before you trash my creditability and my companies, please have ALL you facts straight. I take pride in my job and is very very happy to help someone in need. Thank you for your time! If any questions lawyers, police officer etc can feel free to contact me. 1-800-375-3009 ext 103

You speak of such ill warranted nastiness, Little Miss Jill Morgan.
Firstly, I suggest you get an education. You can not speak properly, or should I say, you do not know how to write a proper sentence.
Secondly, I doubt very seriously you have Thank You cards lined across your desk.

Chances are that if you do, they are from your boss, who has gotten a big fat bonus check, and woops forgot to include all the wonderful hard work you do, for them.

Those thank you cards are from your boss, Never would anyone send a bill collector a Thank You, we all know you are lying.
So Give it up, Give it a Rest and GET OFF!

You really take to much pride in forming a correct sentence on a message board. It is not that serious. Learn how to relax unless you are a english teacher. Or is it that you might suffer from OCD? Pay your bills scum bag! Stop hating people who try and make you stick to your word. Be able a women! Handle your business! We dont come to your job kicking dicks out of your mouth, do we?

You're company is a bunch of lying snakes.  I experienced this this very evening.  I recorded the entire call and you're "employee" threated me by saying that because I answered the phone and new the person a warrant would be issued out for my arrest and furthered it by saying it would be a federal warrant.  Give me a break.  You cannot make a person pay their bill and furthermore you can't hold someone who answers the phone liable.  The funniest part about it is if the person hasn't paid it in 4 years what makes you dumbasses think they will pay it?  Negative debt comes off you're credit report in 7 years.  Now it is true it is still owed, but for credit reporting reasons it is long gone!  Gone with the wind.  I will be posting the recordings online this evening and up on youtube for everyone to hear.  Once it's done I'll repost a reply.

Yes, they are definitely EMPIRE STATE RECOVERY AGENCY, INC. at http://www.esragency.com/index2.html

However, in identifying themselves on the phone the male simply identified as "Investigative Services".

    From their home page.

"In today’s credit industry the third party collection effort has
become an embedded part of the cycle.  While this is in most
cases a beneficial approach there is still much more that a
creditor can do to recover monies from bad debts.  And this
is….to hire the services of Empire State Recovery Agency,
    Inc."

I must say, this ESR at 1-800-375-3009 is way behind schedule, since I have filed for bankruptcy and been clear of it over six months ago.  They call my brother house giving the same message this past week; that I have sued them and they want to work out a payment plan.  If they persist, I will be suing them for harassment or any threat.

I recieved a call from them in december. They called to my mothers house and said I was being taken to court in 3 days if I did not call them back. When I call they said I owed them $20,000.00 in court cost and other fees. Because I was scared I worked out a payment plan with them to automatically take some money out my saving account for three months for a total of $1000. After I got off the phone I call my father who is a well- known judge in the north florida and south georgia area. He knew right off who they were and told me to call the local sheriff department and make a report. The sheriff deparment told me that it was a scam and to change all my accounts numbers. Days later after they did not recieved the payment they started back calling my mother. Now my local department along with many other sheriff departments are looking into that. When it is all over they are going to owe me more than they say I owe them!

A very rude representative calling for a person with same last name but different first at my residence. Advised that I have relative by that name but do share residence or have any contact with that person as they live in a different city, etc. She indicated a private investigator linked me to this person as a relative and linked my information in an attempt to contact them I asked Mrs. Morgan (the rude rep) to remove my number from the listing she proceeded to tell me unless this person calls them, they will continue to call me everyday.

    Could this be fraud
My home was called today from this number and my husband was told he was speaking to a Fulton County Detective concerning a warrant for theft by taken on his son.  This person also called our home on 1/23/08 and spoke to
a 85 years old grandmother, with the same story. When I called to see were the call came from, it was ESR and the person that ansewered the call was very rude and acted as if I was stupid for calling there, I told him I wanted to see what kind of company it was - he wanted to know where I gat the number from and did I have a case with them.
Now, after reading these messages and knowing that it is unlawful to pose as a Detective or any form of law enforcement, I will be letting my son handle it from here.
