Vulger and harrassing call

Demanding payment on a debt outside the statute of limitations and it is a debt that belongs to my ex-husband.

scam collection agency keeps calling

Calller ID came up as BRYANT, the called on Sept 1, 2011 at 11:32 AM and left a message saying I that I was a person of interest in an investigation of a person I have never heard of.  Said they were 'Elise Morgan' from something like ELA Ethical Investigations and left a number of 877-852-4425 [bogus number].  I called back the number on the caller ID and they answered as Blackman, Lafayette, and some A name.  I gave them the case number that was left and they asked me if I were some odd foreign name.  I said no and that I had never heard of them.  I then proceeded to ask if they were with law enforcement or a private investigative group and I wanted their license number.  They then put me through to some fellow who was slightly aggresive and asked me if I were not the person of interest why would I be upset at their message.  I informed them that I have family who is in Law Enforcement, and that I have worked with PIs in the past and that there are rules that they have to follow and that I am concerned that their message implied that they were something that they are not, e.g. frauds.  He stated that the person they are looking for used my phone number to enact a fraud and they are looking to find them.  That they would be removing my number from their system.  Undoubtedly a collection company playing fast and loose with the rules to get information.  I will call the New York Attorney General and let them know what they are doing.

Harrassing call.  Called us ignorant!

keeps calling at all hours of day, never leaves a message. tried calling back and would not go through.
