Caller identified himself as Det. Ed Hanaker, and he needed my help contacting a neighbor about an ongoing investigation/case in New York NY. Said he didn’t want to have to send out a Duty Sheriff and asked if I would leave his name and number on their door. Not knowing who he really was, I refused. He then starts asking me if I was an American, trying to make me feel guilty to get me to go along with his scam. Thanks to this site, I called the number back and was able to confirm that he wasn’t who he said he was and that it is a Collection Agency. My last words to him were I respectfully request you "Cease Desist" calling me for assistance with your case.

Received a call from a guy stating his name was Herman Edwards. He asked to speak with an employee who no longer work for the company, which he went on to provide personal information about an employee and stated that a constable will show up to serve her regarding fraudulent charges

These people continuously called my job after I have told him not to.  I advised them that they were violating the FDCPA and he went on to tell me they can call me once a day everyday, which they have violated because they have called me twice at my job.
